Morning all
I don't suppose anyone knows how to get more noise from the Ferrari turbo engine do they?
I've looked online and I think £4500 for a couple of rear boxes is a bit OTT
Can and X pipe be fitted?
Thanks in advance

There are lots of x-pipe options from Capristo, Novitec etc etc. Head to FerrariChat and ask them, they will tell you everything that can be done.

I put Novitec back boxes and a Capristo X-pipe with a remote control for the valves. But it's a V12 and loud to start with.....:)

But that's normally aspirated isn't it?

Will screw your warranty. I looked into it all. Only thing you can do is Ferrari race exhaust and capristo switch. But you will never get a naturally aspirated sound from it.
The HS pack gives it a better sound but still not N/A level

Whats it like? Im going to look at one on Saturday.. want it as a sort of daily driver (well 8k a year anyway)..
Beautiful. Drives lovely although Ferrari are mileage sensitive so depending on how long your going to keep it you many lose quite a bit in value. I'll only do in 3 years what you do in a year.
They are very usable so I wouldn't not have it as a daily I'd just worry about the depreciation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_F154_engine You have the same engine as me but I think the reason it sounds much better in the Maserati is the maserati stock exhaust setup and Maserati version has a crossplane crankshaft and wet sump lubrication. Turbine housings and exhaust manifolds are integrated in a single piece. On the Quattroporte, the engine has an overboost function which raises maximum torque from 650 N⋅m (479 lbf⋅ft) between 2000 and 4000 rpm to 710 N⋅m (524 lbf⋅ft) between 2250 and 3500 rpm.[2]

Seems ironic that it sounds better in a Maserati but is **** loads slower, and sounds more muted in a ferrari but with higher BHP and **** loads faster

Thanks for the reply. I have pretty much resigned myself to losing a chunk on it... but will keep it long term. That's the plan anyway!

You going for the Cali T? I think it's so much more sorted than the ealier normally aspirated cars although I've never drive an earlier car. Just going off reports from doing homework.

I suppose they wouldn't want Maserati having higher numbers for the same(ish) engine in the QP than any of the Fezza cars?

Yes the T. I'm not keen on the styling of the n/a version. Not driven one yet but I cant imagine me not loving it!

The QP comes with 530hp and 710nm torque. Its funny because at the ferrari/maserati dealership near me they offer the Novitec basic ecu tune and its warrantied which is great. You get 605hp and 820nm torque. 60671

The Cali T is a fantastic car and Capristo (amongst others) can provide more dB. However, it won’t sound as good as a similarly modified early Cali, in just the same way the QP VI GTS doesn’t sound quite as good as the QP V GTS. NA beats Turbo on the noise front every time. But there’s more to a cars’ skill set than noise alone.
