Just got back from Saumur a Beautiful place on the Loire River and we like it there.
Firstly the agent a very sexy Milf and before anyone asks the scenario that happens in Internet movies didn't.
Some interesting places with some Classics in them French and Italian some major works to do too.
Watch this space and pictures to follow.

As a fellow resident of the Loire region, I agree Samur is lovely as is Chinon and that has the added bonus of the classic rally every year a week or so after the LM24H. To the south east of Tours is Amboise which is slightly smaller than both and on the river too. Simply stunning.

You could do worse than join us here in La Chartre which is a lively village in its own right with plenty of life 365 days a year even without the motorsport connections.

Cant get away from those too much though. Even on a very quiet wet weekend in October, we had ex Top Gear and motorbike presenter Steve Berry with 80’s /90’s DJ Pat Sharp with their very early 911 and series 1 E Type flat floor roadster here for a visit and dinner

A mate of mine is a very good looking carpenter who fits bedrooms , he said, he's been In 100s of married womens houses, not once in 20 years even though they were already in the bedroom , all they were interested in was cupboards so it is only in ****

Probably just as well mate as I had Ms French with me and already gone through two marriages.

Agree that Chinon and Saumur are lovely... so much in fact that I had a house close to there in Angers a few years back.

I was always struck that the French would rather live in a bland bungalow than some of the stunning older houses in their villages. Even more struck on the time warp 60/70s finish and furnishings of many of the houses we looked at.

Anyway Phil, hurry up a get a place as I want a free holiday next year please.

I was at Saumur a few weeks ago (in a motorhome!) trying to find the tunnel where the dambusters dropped the Tallboy. Gave up in the end as it was getting late and wanted to get to an aire on the Loire. Absolutely beautiful part of the world. I'm also window shopping for a house around there, looking along Mayenne, Grez Neuville, Saumur route.

I was reading an article on buying abroad, which indicated they thought there would be an increase in interest, and possibly prices, once Brexit was finalised one way or another. Who knows :/
