Hi,
I came back to the car and the glass is cracked - any idea where I can get a replacement glass?

Got mine on ebay. If it's not electrochromatic and just heated they are available for around £20 + £10 postage from a firm in Italy. Unfortunately mine was electrochromatic and cost £115 from a guy in Latvia who still has the Drivers side for sale. I think around £350 from Maserati.

The parts numbers for the mirror assemblies are different for 2009 and 2010 so I'm not sure if these will fit later cars.

**** lies! I never put out on the first date.

It makes a big difference if your mirror is electrochromic or not. For my car the standard mirror from Eurospares is £ 77.22 +Vat, electrochromic is £751.88 + VAT RH and £792.52 + VAT,LH !!!! Just for the bloody glass! I would imagine that yours will be about the same.
Might be a cheaper option buying the complete mirror assembly used?

If Granturismo ones do fit, the standard glasses are around £55 +Vat and the electrochromic around £350 + Vat

I may be on the verge of taking it all back!

my 2006 had a sh!t mirror for a year while ai found the right one. Eventually got one that 'appears exactly correct'. It is heated and has nice coloured glass, with the wide angle section at outer edge. Still have the original package in my garage "black museum".

Hi Devonboy, sorry to hear about your mirror - that is a real pain. As we have the same car and I've also had mirror troubles, figured I'd share my experience:

- as far as I know, Maserati do not sell separate mirror components - it's the entire assembly or nothing. My passenger side mirror was hit by a passing vehicle and bent back, such that a spring inside snapped. Simple - replace the spring, right? Haha - no chance; the unit sells for £1100/1200 from memory. The only thing that makes it slightly easier is that the colour is simply a cap that pops on and off, so if you find a good assembly, it's easy to swap your current colour cap

- second point: the mirror arms, at least on our cars, are different on each side. This is only relevant if you source a replacement assembly from a LHD market; rather than just add a different range of motion for the glass, they changed the arm positioning. I know this bc I brought back a second hand assembly in my luggage from the US; I sourced it from a 2011 QP GTS for c. USD 200.

When I got it to AV engineering, we realised (After a few attempts, including swapping the glass) that the arms themselves are different. In the end Aldous was able to perform some miracles on the bench and get the new spring into the old assembly (Which to that point had seemed impossible); I paid 200USD for spring the size of your thumb, looking at it one way.

I would imagine too the glass will be different in a LHD market car.

Hopefully your glass man can figure something out, otherwise you're looking for a RHD market assembly second hand (and keep all the parts, bc they don't manufacture anymore the circuit board inside that controls auto close - I know bc mine has burned out! )

My near side door mirror hadn’t retracted Or opened since I bought it. Was floppy and no matter what I did with the switch it just didn’t work. Until!... I removed the interior door card and found the white connection block had become dislocated. Saved my spending £960 on a new one!
