Brightest halogen bulbs

Just bought a runabout which has halogen lights in a projector configuration . This is the first car this millennium that I have purchased with such old lighting tech.

I have thought of getting a HID kit, but as I only need this car for a few months I thought I would ask the forum for thier views on the best standard bulbs.

Osram Night Breakers! After market lighting kits are now illegal..

Osram night breakers or the philips version of the same... I think it is called ultra/racing vision

You should know that while these lamps burn 15-30% brighter than the standard versions they do also burn out quicker as a result.

I've got some illegal LED 6000k convertion lamps in my Audi Allroad. They are bloody good actually. Plug straight in the the loom . No drivers . Bloody good for £10

Interesting do you have a link?
Thought all the LED headlamp bulbs were thought to be rubbish.
The lights on the Pinin are not so good so need to do something.

I had to do a bit of bodgery to get the springs to hold them in the holders as they have a big heat sink on the back . Cables ties are very usefull . They are certainly worth a bit of fiddling to make them fit .

I chose these ones because they use Cree LED chips which we use at work so they are pretty good and should last .

What is the lit effect like? Dont suppose you could shine your dipbeam headlights on your garage door/wall and take a photo for us to see please?

I do have self levelling headlight lamps btw . As it has air suspension .
