Bright trim & fasteners

When the salt hits the road, I am planning to clean up the bright trim.

The trident especially looks a bit tired after 9 years, has anyone had any success in getting this rechromed?
Same applies to the front grill and rear boot lid chrome. The rear boot lid chrome really looks a cheap piece of trim though, it's a shame on much a nice car.

My rear Maserati script is also a little tarnished, and for some reason a new one on my chassis number costs 10 times more than the later ones!

All the exposed trim screws need changing, anyone found any difficultly matching these up for stainless steel replacements?

Cheers

I have had the front grill surround rechromed with great success. It's a quality part in brass so was well worth the effort. I don't see why the emblem would not respond similarly.

The rear chrome strip is a different ball game entirely! Chromed plastic that looks pretty ordinary even when new. I bought a replacement part from Eurospares and whilst it's better that the old one it's only ok. You might have luck with the Maserati script from one of the other models ( biturbo or ghibli?? ).

Thanks Neil, The rear chrome strip on mine appears to be metal, a weak fridge magnet sticks to it, but the script appears to be plastic, which makes it more surprising why it is so expensive compared to later vin cars.
The grill surround does not respond to a magnet but if brass it won't, the trident is metal though so should rechrome.
