Brexit Deal

This is (IMHO) a weird mixture of Remainer 'straw man' fantasies and nonsense.
  • nobody cared about blue passports except Sun headline-writers
  • so what? (Although the ECHR does make it a bit harder)
  • everybody already knew we elected MEPs, but they have very little power
  • the £350m didn't exist but the £13 billion per year does
  • what?
  • legally, today, no, but in the future of course we will suffer the economic impact of future EU financial disasters if we stay in
  • the vote was indeed not legally binding, but it was a promise to the electorate (even though it was a stupid referendum)
  • did anyone predict that our borders with the EU would be unaffected (but this has been made into a big problem by the EU and Remainer MPs, not NI)
  • simply not true: sterling, the economy, employment are all fine.
  • a few politicians claimed things would be easy (they all do) but everybody knew the whole thing would be hard (maybe not this hard!)
  • Turkey was not a serious issue in the referendum, it was 'code' for Roumania etc
  • true today but you need to look at the trend (see chart below) if you oppose immigration (which I don't)
  • not really true in practice - in theory it is free movement of labour, but has always been treated across the EU as free movement of people
  • nonsense
  • RM is a financial success - so what? And there is no evidence he is seeking to evade taxes
  • so what, if true
  • and your point is?

Ahhh such modesty, despite being clearly gifted with intellectual brilliance. The Sports Maserati Democracy Reinforcement Party Member (Hon) is a credit to the cause.
Carry on with the crusade

Ps. Beware SMUPPITS!
I think I might be willing to join the Sports Maserati Approving of Girls Wearing a Four-Point Harness and Nothing Else Party !

Why, they're all the same... Lol
Generically brilliant eh ;)
To answer your question.
Not sure I can as I am in Oz.
My vote would be Brexit party (they’re the only ones that won’t ignore it)

It’s a total disgrace that we’re being asked to vote in something we voted to leave and it’s a farce that we’re spending all this money electing people that apparantly might not take up their positions, I think everyone should be worried if Mays deal is pushed through out of desperation.

What a ******* shambles Mrs May.
Great job for turning the UK into a laughing stock.

On the Gold side of things Jon. I did try and share the wealth -numerous offers!

5613156132

So over a 5 year period, gold has delivered an approximate 5% per annum return and if you had bought 5 years ago and not reacted to the market, silver would leave you back where you started.

Actively trading gold over that period, presumably that return could be nearly doubled. 5% return on an annuity of £1 million would be fine (I could comfortably live off that), but gold is never going to transform someone's life if they only have £10-20k to invest. Or am I missing something?

Since Brexit has been delayed for 6 months shall we call it a draw on this thread and desist from posting till 20th October?

Büggar all will happen till then.
