Interestingly, on my BBC local news tonight, they have been to a local college and interviewed some students studying politics and asked them how they would vote given the options of:-
1 No deal
2 Deal
3 General Election

Surprisingly (to my mind anyway) they voted:- 3in favour of 1, 1 in favour of 2, and 2 in favour of 3, make of that what you will.

Nope, totally agree with you on that one.

I’ll give him his due’s, he’s been there since the beginning and you can’t knock the man’s tenacity. I’d say history will include him somewhere, he’s become an institution:D

trust you to spoil it, I was hoping for pistols at dawn between wattie and geoffcapes soon :p
Any dual will involve
Geoff standing upwind armed with his cheesy garlicky bad breath!
I will be downwind armed with an English longbow giving him the Vickies.

Can I ask a question on trade. Under the current deal with the EU, are we free to trade with any other global country?

I was of the impression that the EU forbids this or is this not the case?
The current deal is really irrelevant as we voted to leave.
If Mays deal is accepted we cannot negotiate any deals anywhere until the Eu 27 allow us to leave, which they won’t. We’re legally trapped and therefore ******.
Hence even the most ardent Brexiteers such as me, and remainers should be concerned it is accepted.
It is appalling, and MP’s “holding their noses” and voting for it is not in the national interest.

Europe is never going to give us a reasonable deal to discourage others following the same path. That’s why we should walk, their economy is bolloxed far worse than ours will be.

Pressure on the EU now....do they agree to short term extension?
May STILL plodding on “with her deal” is incredible. Wtf?
Europe suggesting they’ll agree a short extension if it’s passed.......I bet they will. They must be rolling around the floor in stitches behind the scenes.
Disgraceful and shameful.

P51mustang “the Cadillac of the skies” now there’s a fabulous plane especially when they ditched the Allison engine and stuck the supercharged Merlin. Highest kill ratio warplane of it’s time. Phwoar! Sex on a stick chromelicious!

Hasn't he disappeared? Originally touted as a Frog March, based on Nige's swivel-eyed appearance, and more recently the Totally Puddled Marchers.

He's probably found a lovely boozer to stop off and have a few pints and a nice Woodbine.
They did find a boozer, it was called the unicorn, honestly no joke! You couldn’t have written or planned it! :D

Campaign Update- SMDRP Leaving Party 29th March

SMDRP would like to remind all members that our “Magnificent Seven” themed leaving party to be held at “Le Dunkuerqe Taverna”, Ramsgate on 29th March (reopening, 30th under new management as “The Dunkirk Inn” ) IS STILL ON.

Could attendees please join the back of the queues at the front of the Taverna on arrival after parking their V8 steeds. This will in all likliehood probably mean standing on the beach for a considerable time as a number of other groups are partying the same day.

The new management has kindly arranged for a brass band to entertain us whilst we wait our turn to be seated and will be playing such SMDRP favourites as “The Great Escape theme tune” “Rule Brittania” and ”Lovely bunch of coconuts”.

I can confirm that snails, garllic, pasta, german suasage, Calamari and all other European foods have been removed from the menu due to the unfortunate allergic dietry requirements of SMDRP members.

Despite numerous requests, Boeing have yet to confirm whether their Fleet of 737Max aircraft are available for the beach flypast so I have taken it upon myself to book the following.

EXCLUSIVE ONLY to SMDRP, members. “Magnificent 7 themed Mexican table dancing entertainment” to acknowledge members loyalty and encourage further sign ups.

I have already bagsied the “head of the table” seating position, however as an incentive to others there will be a competition prize. Apparently there is a snake in the clip but I have been unable to see it despite several hundred viewing attempts.

First of our seven to correctly spot it wins their choice of remaining seating positions.

So far we’re 5, wanna join us. you know what to do http://chng.it/5jjqL7xbgp

Saddles and seats are going fast!

Finally, we are aware that a HUGE storm front is forming in Central London which is expected to head for the coast around the 28th/29th before crossing the Channel.

Members should stay tuned for updates.

Wolfie, “Power to the people” Bumper stickers are in the post and should be applied to V8 steeds prior to travelling to Ramsgate.

Toodle Pip chaps, carry on.

It is with regret that we have to advise that the SMDRP leaving party, 29th March at "Le Dunkuerqe Taverna" is postponed.
Probably till end June.
The New Management of the Taverna have informed us of an unusual legal clause discovered in the paperwork that they are questioning. It apparantly allows them to run the business but all decisions regarding it for the forseable continue to be made by the old owners??

Updates to follow.

The EU are not going to give us any kind of deal worth anything. We should leave. Call their bluff if you will. We are better on our own when we pull out fingers out and become better. It will give us the kick up the ar5e as a country we need.

The EU did have a choice and showed not to offer an olive branch or a deal that worked for both. The played a strong stern hand that I think will back fire if we are strong enough.

There needs to be more belief and we need to be better.....much better. The core abilities, skills and entrepreneurship are there.....we haven't lost them yet. Well not totally. We will do if we don't buck our ideas up. The Chinese are growing and much forward. We are playing catch-up and need to up our game. For me the answer isn't to rely on a utopian view that an EU can still work in its current form. There needs to be national, European and Global wholesale changes.

This didn't just happen overnight and the referendum just lit the match for what was already there. If it wasn't the referendum that was the catalyst something else would have been. It just would have festered for some years and got worse before finally something would have happened.

I am not a fan of Juncker. Just like Sepp Blatter....he is the wrong man for the job.

I'm still confused as to why we have a sterling pound. Surely you are either in or out. This halfway house just doesn't work for me.

European Democracy In Action

Thanks Theresa

You can have an extension as long as you accept our deal.
Better get used to this if its accepted!!!!

The speed of this response makes you wonder if Mays speach and their reply was coordinated.
