Brexit Deal

I read a rather cheering article the other day (sorry, don't remember the author, etc) which said that the BREXIT process, rather than being a complete cluster-fook, was actually a demonstration of a robust and effective democracy carrying out the political process exactly as it should. The argument was that BREXIT is a very challenging topic, both within our own decision-making processes and with the complications of the narrow referendum result, the EU negotiations and the Irish border, and so it was inevitable that there would be no simple path to a solution. And that what we were doing was thoughtfully and democratically working our way towards some sort of compromise, a process which in other countries might have involved punch-ups in parliament, the absence of any government, multiple elections, rioting on the streets, and ultimately military intervention. Well done the UK, well done Parliament!

There. Now you feel better.

On my bucket list is to meet someone who paid full price for a sofa at DFS.

Third time lucky for a deal deemed "diabolical" but apparantly the Uk's only choice!

So it would appear the DUP's vote for the 'deal' is about to be bought with "Millions".

Ester McVey looks like she's moved...with others....

Whitehall, preparing for EU elections having been instructed by the EU to do so.

If this deal goes through, and it beggars belief it is even conceivable that it is being accepted by those who have previously rejected it, then get used to taking even more **** from Brussels.

May's deal isnt Brexit, it's surrender....the UK will be permenantly remaining in the Eu on the Eu's terms.

No new Pm will have any negotiating power, whatsoever.

Welcome to purgatory.

"Maybe Theresa May and all the other buffoons are secret petrolheads?… what cars do you think they would drive?"

a) clown cars
b) the rest of around the bloody bend
c) a hard bargain. Oh, wait...
European ones, self drive with new technology developed in Brussels.
Models would have an interesting feature, British occupants would find themselves unable to open the doors or windows once inside.

Honesty I speak to lots of friends from all walks of life and economic backgrounds but I have yet to meet anyone who didn’t vote brexit. The people I least expect to see
Spouting **** on social media are the ones posting anti-brexit rhetoric which makes me believe that the vote is still overwhelming.

I didn’t.

The thing with Brexiters, is that they are a bit like vegans. They HAVE to tell you they are vegan like Brexiters have to tell you they voted out! :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Then why not have a second referendum where the overwhelming vote in favour of Brexit will be unequivocal and allow politicians to contemplate a No Deal and move us all forward?

Probably because an opinion poll I saw yesterday showed that 56% would now vote stay in.

Obviously opinion polls have got it very wrong over the last few years, but the general consensus seems to be staying is the better option. (Tin hat on).

Because it’s not the best of 3.
Next time there’s an election ignore the result. We’ll vote again.
Don’t you see how flawed what you’re saying is?
They said they would enforce the first vote result, they lied.
I’ll contemplate sacking them but that’s about it.....they’re too stupid and biased to realise the importance of “no deal”, which is why they took it off the table.
It means we’ll NEVER leave unless Europe gives us a deal.
Wake up dgmx5, many of us are already on the coffee.
