Lets all vote for the Official Monster Raving Looney Party
They promise to keep us all hale and Hearty
When you think of it
Labour and Conservative spout the same old shi t
And we all have to reach for the Bacardi

I haven't stayed bang up to date on the intracies of all of this but I'm amazed at the inability of alleged intelligent people to 'negotiate' a deal. I don't see much compromise or negotiation going on.

If we weren't in the EU now at all and the EU were offering us the deal they are offering would we be chomping at the hit to join? No.

I understand the EU may feel that a precident could be set if they concede too much but I think the EU are not being objective at all. Our way or the highway. It is leaving us with little choice.

I think we all realise a full or hard Brexit with us leaving would be painful for all and should be avoided. However if it happens it happens and we shouldn't be afraid of it as an option and a likely outcome. We've dealt with worse situations before and will deal with worse again.

I still do find it bizarre that intelligent people can't negotiate a deal.

You seriously think it’s a matter of intelligence? It doesn’t matter how intelligent you are if the other side won’t negotiate!

I suggest you read the Davis and Raab resignation letters from months and months ago that I posted earlier.
Total PM incompetence and backstabbing re agreed moves, a belief in something that suffered the biggest defeat in history.........but against all advice...even legal advice that outlined the dangers.

Yet, Our remainer pm pushed forward with a deal that was dead early last year.....against ALL advice.

Something stinks.

Why did she do this?

I did. I read them in the context of their motivation. People who want to leave don’t like it, people who want to stay don’t like it. It might be that it really is the only compromise available. And it’s a **** one!

I'm not saying either side is at fault here but both sides. It is not just intelligence. It is sense, fair play, understanding, compromise....everything.

Maybe we have too much intelligence and new age negotiations. Sometimes a different tact is required.

I just don't see and I have said this for years how it is possible for so many different countries, people and cultures to agree on all the things that are necessary to create a single euro state in perfect harmony. If there was no European Union now and you tried to create one I just don't see how you would do it.

I don't see why we can't just negotiate the trade deals we all need to function and not be part of the EU. It benefits both sides. It is as if the EU have said you won't adhere to our rules so you can't have access to the things we offer and although we need the things you offer we will boycott the UK on principal. Seems very childish and very short sited.

No idea what that was but I guess a deal from history won't be so applicable today.

Maybe new trade deals would need to be designed from scratch for today onwards.

I've learnt over the years some and all of us are sometimes guilty of settling for what is in place now as it is easier. Easier than some pain and hard graft to get to a better place. I'm not saying this is what is happening here but it must account for some views along these lines.

Rome wasn't built in a day. A new Europe and new UK similarly won't take 5 mins.

I am sure there must be tons of people in remaining EU countries that aren't 100% in agreement with what the EU are doing or offering as it will be worse for them. However they will likely have little or no voice through this process as it is being dealt with at the moment.

All I know is that the uncertainty is an issue and to be quite frank I'm quite bored of it being the front of most conversations. Les s than quite frankly.....I'm bored of it.

I can accept that but I can't accept that a hard no deal exit is the best terms for leaving
Leaving meant leave.
There was nothing else on that ballot paper.....was there.
It wasn’t
Leaving if Europe agrees, or if those who disagree and LOSE allow it, even if they don’t like it.
Was it?

It’s really quite sad that remainers actually endorse an undemocratic regime and its total focus to oppress and deal with anyone that opposes its status ( regardless of a democratic vote) via ridicule and further that no negotiation.
For future notes, to everyone, everywhere in the European arena.

Europe says “ no *ucking way” you’re leaving.
Feel free to vote but if they say no,
Forget it if you expect a deal.

Really? I’m ashamed if this what our UK democracy has become.

I think your frustration and boredom is justified..it’s another way they grind you down.

We’re lucky that we have a voice, But IF MAYS DEAL GETS SIGNED OFF it’s goodbye Uk.

For anyone that doesn’t understand the significance of this.

I suggest you
Sober up,
Wise up,
STF up,
And tell Europe to do one.

If her deal goes through it will be far, far worse than no deal.

You’ll never have a voice again and neither will your kids.

We will be in permenant European slavery...dictated to indefinitely.

Agreed but neither was the terms of leaving on the ballot paper. If we leave even with a set of terms you don't agree with we have abided by the democratic vote (weather you agree with that or not). This is not a straight black and white debate.
