If they have nicked it, that makes it even worse!
You know, a lot of these beggers are youngish and got all their faculties. I don't have much sympathy, go to work and earn some money to support yourself like 99.9% of people in this country have to do.
Sorry if this sounds unsympathetic but i started working with a part time job when I was eleven. (I know you can't work at that age now of course, but you could in the old days.

I’ve too have had a job continuously since I was 14 but a lot of these people have issues that started in childhood and continue to this day. A mobile phone and access to the internet is a necessity, you can’t go to the DHSS anymore it’s all online.

I was watching something on the TV the other day and it said more people in India own a mobile phone than have access to a toilet.

I'm sure there are genuine hard luck cases but quite a few are also professional beggars and also fake disabilities for the sympathy vote, heard of cases where they travel and get dressed for begging in certain areas and then go back and get dressed in their designer clothes and go home, almost like a business

Where Enoch?

I ordered beans on toast in a cafe weekend before last. The toast came on it’s own plate and the beans came in a bowl with a spoon. I was indignant!!!!
I got a sausage and bacon on toast with a mug of (instant) coffee from a cafe in North Dublin, just shy of 8 Euro! and it was cut corner to corner posh-style....
