S'pose if you pick the green bits off it'll be ok?

Yeah. Apparently not, although I'm still here ;)

The mycelium go rather deep. And there are things like Aspergillus niger which are potentially not at all good. However, despite HSE's advice about storing just about everything in the fridge, I appear to be alive ;)

I remember rebuilding my Cadillac 8.2 litre engine, covered in oil, no gloves, eating a meat pie also covered in oil from engine via fingers. Still here.......

Eat *****, get immune......

A man must eat a bushel of dirt before he dies. Or something.

There no wine in chip shop vinegar. In fact there’s often not any vinegar in chip shop vinegar.

'Non brewed condiment' :)

That was exactly my experience back in the late 60's and early 70's.

Good to see the Inland Border Facility at Ashford is no where near completed yet!

Whilst going past just now, I noticed that they have diverted the lorries in via an industrial estate at 'the back' of the IBF, which is quite a long road. This means along with the several miles of queuing trucks on the M20 they can queue another 2 or 3 miles worth on the estate road. Well, I say queuing, They're at a standstill, probably with their engines turned off.
I pity anyone who's business is on that estate. Because they just can't get onto it.

What an absolute sh*t show!

With what I have seen over the last few weeks and seen with my own eyes regarding the situation with regards to getting anything in, or out of the country, and the fact that everyone involved has said that the situation will get much worse.

Are there any Brexiters who still think that Brexit is a good idea? If so why?

As thus far 'Project Fear' as the Brexiters called it, has been project 'Spot On' so far.

Absolute fecking disaster.

I was remainer, still am, doing my best to get another citizenship in EU, hoping and praying The Union collapses and the EU swells with three new States, perhaps then people in England will wake up and realise they've been lied to all down the line.

Because of this and the general WM attitude to one-man LTDs I'm forced to either do as I'm doing away from my family and home, or be taxed into oblivion in the UK.

I'm pragmatic. I will do whatever is necessary but I feel no attachment to the country of my birth, it's alien to me now. Which is a shame.

Move to NI, I reckon if it keeps on going the way it is it won’t be too long before we see a united Ireland.

Well we seem to have done rather better than the EU on the vaccine front.

I have no experience on the import / export side other than to observe it's had precisely zero impact on anything I need at this point. That may change, of course.

Well normally I'd agree bit I'm not sure the NI folks would:

  1. Pay The Republics exorbitant VRT on cars
  2. Pay The Republics exorbitant Motor Tax (RFL)
  3. Pay The Republics exorbitant car insurance costs
  4. Pay the Doctor €65 a pop
  5. Pay for Private Health Insurance on top of shiitty HSE (NHS Equiv) at €170 a mo or so
  6. Pay full price for prescriptions to a limit of €124 a month.
  7. Pay USC (Universal Social Tax, ie Celtic Tiger cockup tax) on top of PRSI (National Insurance)

I'll post one of my payslips (redacted) to show all the PAYE/PRSI/USC deductions!
