Very well put, I am however very surprised but very pleased another pro-remain piece of propaganda hasn't been posted on here today, I was expecting it to have been. Anyway, as you were...

here you go, wouldn’t want you to miss out ;)

With 10,000 lorries going through Dover each day, you only need a slight delay to things and they're queuing down the M20.

So if a lorry takes 30 seconds to clear customs now (apparently), and will only take a few minutes, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out that queues of lorries will be inevitable.

The knock on effect of quadrupling the time to clear customs will cause havoc!

It might only be a few minutes, but a few minutes for 10,000 lorries means chaos on the roads.

Have you ever heard of pre clearance. They can be cleared as soon as they are rolling off the ferry.

So you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure out there is no need for a delay and as i said its the way it used to be done with no delays and no massive queues or chaos on the roads.

The only trucks that should be delayed are ones that have been pulled for either a document or physical exam.

There isnt an apparently about the procedure now. I was at the forefront at the transisition stage from C10s and C12 to the SAD C88 document and its various changes and short form versions since.

We can either talk ourselves into doom and gloom or we can get on with it and make sure everything works as it should.

Milenium bug syndrome all over again.
To some extent we did the same thing in 2009 with the recession. All the news chanels were reporting daily on the doom and gloom that was going to hit the UK and how it was already in full swing in the USA. The net result of the scare tactic reporting was people stopped spending which in turn slowed the UK economy even more.

Whatever happened to the stiff upper lip mentality and crack on and get on with it.

I don’t see there being an issue. Having said that the inlaw’s side of the family all live in Kent and if there’s a part of the country that can make a soap opera out of anything it’s down there!

Europe’s not dead but it’s totally reliant on more Ponzi, none of which has done anything for a decade other than pretend everything is fine and dandy.

Meanwhile it steam rolls it’s way through sovereignty,

To be fair, and avoiding any discussion about Ponzi schemes (read QE), the way Hungary and Poland are behaving is a bit rubbish. “We want the money but f@uk you”. Never saw that coming.

I do believe they’re entitled to “veto”. That’s why they get a vote......
Back to the drawing board.

All it needs if for somebody to “accidentally” shoot somebody somewhere....

Veto because one version of rights doesn’t agree with another. These are dodgy times.

The crux of the matter is that Europe involves a whole number of countries that shouldn’t be part of its stupid Euro system......they totally ****** up its constituent parts.
Those Ponzi countries are increasingly more reliant on others for more and more and more and more cash whether its via covid or economic woes or whatever the next drama is.

It’s now having to run around with new fangled bailouts, support, stimulus etc whilst trying to protect the likes of Germany from the economic woes of all the other sh1te as the Germans and responsible others do not want shared responsibility for the deficits being run up!!!!!

I think you can replace the word Europe with UK, and ECB with BoE... will be all the same. Any economy that cannot balance a budget (foolish thinking the UK can) borrows until the cows come home.

You were the one who said it will only take a couple of minutes in your previous post! Which is longer than before.

I'm not an expert of lorry paper work, but surely any rocket scientist can work out that when something takes longer than it did before there will be a knock on effect.

Ignoring something and saying Y2K didn't happen doesn't mean that everything will be rosey in the future.
Maybe Y2K didn't happen as systems were fixed/amended/adjusted to ensure it didn't happen (all I know is that I got a load of overtime changing my then work systems to ensure Y2K didn't have an effect).
Thus far with no deal, we haven't planned for sh*t, other than a massive lorry park up the road from where I live to cope with the excess paperwork delays they expect.
And the other 4 they want to build. I guess there's no need for that either?

Not planning for a potential outcome is madness. Bit like ignoring Covid because it only kills 0.01% of the population eh?
