As we're getting closer to D day I see the give a little page for raising the £500,000 for Big Ben to ring it's bells in celebration.
It only needs 3 English Pennies from each of the 17.4 million voters.
I have also seen its suggested for remainers to all flush the toilet at the same time as the departure from the EU.
I don't know if that will cause any issues unless everyone takes a Tom Tit :)

Why would it cost 1/2 million to ring some bells, are they powered by politicians expenses!? Or is it to cover the tinnitus claims? ;)

Because they’re not there and there’s no floor in the belfry. So to ring a peel to celebrate our impending doom they need to stop all the work on the tower. Then reinstall the bells and ringing mechanism and the floor half way up the tower, then after they’ve rung remove everything and get back to work.

Bloody stupid idea, could be worse though we could have decided to leave the EU and make Boris PM.... oh wait...

Welcome back Ian.
How you getting on with the Chevette and Jensen Healey which is far more interesting in my world ?

Hi fella. The HS is coming along well; the engine, and rear end has all been restored and refitted and the gearbox is just about finished and about to go back in. The interior has been re-upholstered with new tartan cloth, new door cards and rear panels have been made, new carpets bought and the clocks and dials have been reconditioned and are waiting to go back in. It’s off for a respray in March, so it should all be finished by the end of April. The Jensen is paused at the moment because of other projects but I’m hoping to be back on it next winter for completion in the middle of next year. That should be worth waiting for as it’ll have a 3.9 Rover V8, 5 speed box, an interesting colour scheme and a new interior design. Happy days!

Tartan cloth..I'd forgotten that that sort of stuff would have been 'desirable'. You doing all the work yourself Benny?

I‘ve done all the spannering and I’ll be doing most of the body prep. When it’s done it’s going into have a tubular manifold made up which should free up a few more horses now it’s got twin 48 Dellortos on. Hopefully it’ll be ready and fit to take to Le Mans fit it’s road test!

And so we are finally leaving tonight! Well when I say leaving, technically we are but I fear nothing much changes at least in the next 12 months and the EU get their many billions of divorce ransom. Let’s hope Johnson is strong in the next stage of negotiation.

I will probably be going up to Westminster this evening for the craic.

Anyway, back to the tits...

Today is the day.

Can somebody explain to me this "Happy Brexit Day" thing.

Why would you celebrate something, when you have absolutely no idea what is going to happen.
It's like celebrating the FA Cup Final before your team have actually played a game in the competition.
