Brexit Deal

Not really. So you think agreeing a really bad deal just to get it done is a good idea?
Where does it stop? A good deal to some is a bad deal to others, we can go on forever at this rate. Farage and Corbyn just want to stir the ****.

Suppose it doesn't really matter what we think as it will be what it will be.......and for me I want it bloody over........sick to death of all of it.
All this is about starting leaving the EU if BJ gets his way, not about getting it over with. There will be many years of trade deals, committees, parallel bodies, replication, mirroring and many other money spinning quangettes. This would be the start of a bigger mess not the end.

Q Who’s gonna pay for all this then?
A Christine Lagarde.

EU leaders discuss 1.1 trillion euros post-Brexit budget
European Union leaders will discuss a new budget plan on Friday that could allow the bloc to spend up to 1.1 trillion euros (£952 billion) in the 2021-2027 period, but deep divisions among governments could block a deal for months.

If this doesn’t get voted in then surely will still come out as I thought if we didn’t have a deal Boris has to ask for an extension. Voted in or not we still have a deal that Europe has agreed. I think there are lots of loop holes for everyone to exploit....And we know all sides like to exploit.

There's still an option to extend to provide time for a general election and another in/out/shake-it-all-about referendum. That's where my money is going but place your bets..

Johnson’s would be a hard Brexit that would cost every family in the UK and radically hit living standards and public services. In-depth analysis from the impartial UK in a Changing Europe research group shows that income for every man, woman and child in the UK would drop by £2,000 a year, compared to £1,500 from Theresa May’s ill-fated deal. The report points out that Johnson has abandoned any aspiration of frictionless trade with the EU. His proposed deal would cost public finances between £41-49 billion a year, leaving families worse off, business bankrupt, schools and hospitals underfunded, and people out of work. Johnson is trying to railroad through a Brexit plan that would have a devastating impact on living standards, funding for public services, businesses and jobs.

Unfortunately this seems to be a increasingly popular view - ie we are bored with the whole thing so we are prepared to allow a disastrous outcome.

This is such a dangerous way to think...Brexit is a terrible idea: it was on day 1 and it is now. Just because we're all heartily fed up with it and Johnson and politicians, doesn't mean we should shrug and say oh well anything goes.

You haven't persuaded me ....... It needs to end on the 31st eitherway. I was remain but there is still one thing that everyone seems to forget. We the remainers lost the vote so we should leave. All this no one knew what they were voting for is b0llocks.....Of course no one new but voters were willing to take that risk. It's all joke. Everyone has an opinion and I don't think either side is wrong or right as everyone has good and bad point.....but we still need to leave either way and take the consequences good or bad. The country should never have started this journey if they weren't going to follow through. This has divided friends, colleagues, famililies and in some cases driven a wedge between people. On here I have seen some very divided opinions that can run close to the edge which isn't the reason I come on here. Some people have strong policical beliefs and at time seeing comedy pictures of leaders on each side I could really see how it would offend some. I would never let this come between my friendships off and on the forum. I respect everyone's views on here as that's what makes the forum great but I for one will be glad when it's over.

In that case, the way to deal with it is to (somehow) revoke it. So General Election > Lib Dem > Revoke article 50 > Pub;ich Outcry of some kind?

Dunno.

BTW I think the EU said they will not grant an exception? So revocation may be sooner?

Totally agree with you Andy and I hope I don't offend anyone ?
What scares me is that many of the wealthy Brexiteers are going to make a lot of money out of Brexit which is morally wrong as a lot of people could suffer but we don't know yet as it could end like Free Willy.
I just wish things had been more Truthful 3 years ago.

In your opinion.
Pity a majority felt otherwise eh.

Many wealthy remainers have made lots of money from being in the Eu.......in life people make money...every situation in life reflects this....it’s not a one sided coin.
Many non wealthy people voted for Brexit......because they were fed up of their lack of opportunity as it stood.
