Brexit Deal

I'm glad you said it, I was worried I had somehow inadvertently abused someone...

For the record, I don't believe that voting for Farage means you are a facist, just that to tick that box on the ballot, simply because of brexit, and to be able to disregard/ignore all of his, and his other party members traits and what they stand by, you must be very devoted imo - which is where why I used the term hard line leaver, which to me means uncompromising on that policy.
Obviously, unless you agree with Farage on everything, in which case, well, a spade is a spade.

You don't have to like him, or indeed any other politician. It isn't a talent show, it's a government.

As I understand it, and I'm sure we have members much more qualified than I to describe this, but... Boris broke constitutional law.
The UK's constitution is not a document, or even a series of documents. It's a bunch of laws and historical judgements, that often are ambiguous, and it's appreciated that there is movement over time. That's why the Supreme Court is required to make the call.
If you want an actual written down thing to highlight what Boris broke, then perhaps UK isn't the place for you. You need somewhere with more clarity. The EU's Treaty of Lisbon might be a nice place to start. The US constitution and it's amendments is a nice example of when this fails a little, as rules are written down to protect the people against tyrannical governments, and 200 years later, used to reinforce sport, and cock waving.

I'm too much of a lefty for this thread on here...

You are right it's not a talent show but I don't like him as a politician.....this isn't a government it's a circus....right across the board. My 13 year old have better views and more level headed than this lot.

How dare parliament not allow the leading party a recess for their conference? This is getting absurd.

Err is it because the country is currently in a crisis and that Parliament is trying to make up the time that was lost by the unlawful prorogation of it? ;)

Now that the Jeremy Kyle Show has finished, do you think that BBC Parliament is chasing daytime TV ratings.
Do you remember the resistance some MPs and politicians had back in the day for the televising of Parliament? Look at us now...
I’m actually really happy to witness it live and direct and not depend on second hand dubious journalism, where you have to fact-check everything for the truth. It’s great to watch and especially appropriate in this age of info-wars.:D

So Wattie, in the interest of balance, why don’t you post a link to the Annually published E.U. budgets and reports direct from the E.U’s website. As I’m sure every member state has an Accountable Treasury and knows exactly what and why it contributes, what it contributes for, in its membership because no country obviously can function or tax its people without an appropriate, legitimate and approved structure. :):)
Are you saying the figures are incorrect then?
I'll leave you to post the 20+ links you feel people will be interested in :):)

Well the stuff You’ve recently posted was written by a guy who died over 2 1/2 years ago. So it would be nice to have an updated version of it and if that’s the recent one from last year it makes no sense how a dead person can still write and post stuff in 2018......:D No need for 20 or so links just go direct to the source or just post a direct link to the E.U. budgetary site for balance. :) That way no one can claim propaganda.

Wasn’t propaganda, I posted the source I got it from. I thought it was interesting re the per capita headlines.

Published Jenna Ross, 7 days ago on September 20, 2019 from figures in 2018 which someone who died in 2017 would not have had.

Brexit has now become so contentious we’re getting input from the afterlife!!!

Wattie if you trust your sources and are happy with it and it’s credibility that’s all well and good. As I mentioned earlier In the interest of balance, accuracy etc. :D

Well that’s ruined my day, I was genuinely trying to offend.
I will be going to church this week to repent my remainer sins.
Expect spontaneous combustion.

EU membership costs on average £63 per UK person. It's possible one tariff on something we need/like would wipe that out for most people.

Oh, I forgot, it's all about sovereignty and running out own country, that's going well.

Actually what it's really about is scaring foreigners out, not letting any in and doing what we've always done, pander to the elite, take the whippings and say 'thank you very much'...

Freedom for Tooting....
