Brexit Deal

With the comments made by the Finnish PM, this can only lead to one thing.

Either a no deal Brexit, or Article 50 being revoked. I see zero chance of a deal being done in 12 days especially as the EU haven't received a thing in writing, and the EU will make no concessions, because if they did, others will want to leave.

Halting a massive Russian invasion whilst being hugely outnumbered, and forcing the Russians to sue for peace.

Vodka

Father Christmas.
Well, re
1 Finland ceded 11 percent of its territory representing 30 percent of its economy to the Soviet Union. Soviet losses were heavy, and the country's international reputation suffered. Soviet gains exceeded their pre-war demands and the USSR received substantial territory along Lake Ladoga and in northern Finland.

2. Probably Russian made stuff after the war...left behind;)

3. Yup, another fictional story that people believe in....somewhat like the Euro.

And don’t forget Keke Rosberg, Mika Hakkinen, Kimi Raikkonen, Valtteri Bottas, Heikki Kovalainen, Mika Salo, Hannu Mikkola, Markku Alen, Pentti Airikkala, Timo and Tommi Makinen, Ari Vatanen, Juha Kankkunen, Henri Toivonen.......
And how could we not acknowledge “The Scandinavian flick” (which is really appropriate here and which I originally thought was a two finger salute but it isn’t) :lol2::lol::lol2:. I mean fancy “other” people talking down other Europeans like that eh......:D:p:D

We’ve sunk so low that even Finland is threatening us now.

UK has 11 days to submit new Brexit plan 'or it is over' - Finland PM
The UK needs to submit its new Brexit deal proposal to the EU by the end of September or it will be "over", according to Finland's prime minister.

Read in Sky News: https://apple.news/A0amAmTofTCOWUiMhGDRo_g

Finland is of course famous for ? And carries enormous weight on the international stage for ?. Finland is probably gutted that Iceland opened a chain of supermarkets before it did.
Just saying.
What have we become.:too_sad:

Ps. The Finnish finster cant even get his sentiment correct.....”or it will be over”.
Like that’s not what the majority voted for!
Leavers everywhere will be gutted.

er... Finland currently holds the presidency of the EU commission

Seems as though they are going to push for another 1 year extension on the deadline so they can make sure NI is royally ****** with a hard boarder

Guess we better make the most of and enjoy the brief economic upturn in the interim

The Finnish railway gauge is 5 foot. Actually 1524mm, very close to the Russian 5 foot railway gauge which is actually 4' 11" 27/32nds - 1520mm.

Within tolerance though, no technical break of gauge or need for new bogies or new-fangled wheel-setting malarky, which is good to know if travelling between the two countries.

I've repeatedly told the Mrs. the Irish gauge here is not the standard (4' 8" 1/2) but 5' 3". Her answer? 'I don't give a shît'.

Women, eh?

And while we're (I) are (am) on the subject of women, I just can't get it through to her that the fan in her car doesn't control the temperature, the other knob with the red and blue swirls on does, will she have it? Will she fûck.

This is me to her: Bit warm in't car in't it (We speak Lancashire when alone).
And this is her to me: Yeah I'll turn it darn, me old cock (term of endearment).......

And this is her, she just turns the fan off or down to low, and still it's hot.

And then this is me to her: I explain about cooling systems and coolant and heater matrixes and how the fan just controls the sped of the air, it's the red/blue swirl button that does that and there we go again, 'I don't give a shît'....

And the she is hot in the car she opens the window on my side to cool off....

And every time I drive her in the QP she fecks about the climate control, we end up steamed up, my feet freezing. Takes me 5 mins to sort it out next time I get in.

Women, eh?

Merely pointing out that businesses if prepared can survive and prosper contrary to what Remainers say
I am not sure it is “what the remainers say”, but rather “what SOME remainers say”.
Still on a like for like those business will be worse off due to the (not insurmountable) friction costs highlighted
