Boot wont open

The boot on my 2009 QPV won't open.

Dash says 'Trunk Open'. But actually it is closed up, seemingly permanently.

Mechanical latch, fob and dash button don't to anything.

Key wont even go into lock near the mechanical latch, never mind 'push down when turning'.

I don't think there is a pull cable in the back of a QPV, is there?

I think this happened on my previous QP about 8 years ago, and the dealer (Dick Lovett in Swindon back then) had to reset something from the computer.....

Any ideas?
 
No release cable, sadly. You're in the wrong section BTW/

If the key won't go in the slot, I'm not sure what the computer can do. I think you're in for a tedious time freeing up the weather seal (or whatever it's called) to get the key in then turn it. Penetrating oil is not normally ideal for locks, but in a case like this I don't think graphite is going to help.

Check your boot locks, people!
