Firstly as I'm often reminded by some on here don't believe everything you read is factual.
I have lived in many places including the UK, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, New Zealand and now in France.
Here now for nearly 2 years and it's the best place yet for me.
Quality of Life is fantastic.

I agree. I live near Le Mans or in Aix en Provence in the south for more than 6 months each year. My first job was in the Royal Navy and I travelled the world literally in my 20’s. IMO there is no better place to live than France .

As Phil says the quality of life with the weather, food, space and yes even the French people are all amazing. Real sense of community and national pride that is absent from much of the U.K. where I live the rest of the year. You need to learn the language and join in with the local fetes etc and you will be warmly received. Speaking English and living in the “little England” region of the Dordogne is the mistake many ex pats make and then seem surprised if the locals don’t seem friendly.

You should see what went into Warbies bread vats on the night shift mainly manned by us then students.

At the time the local Bolton word was 'Grozz' and it was basically a mixture of phlegm, spit, bogies (or 'crows' as we called them then), aka 'Grolly' and they were adept at producing large amounts and propelling it huge distances. Those skills are all lost now.

You sound proud , if I'd purposley done anything like that at any point in my life I'd be ashamed of myself.
