That one has to be worth serious consideration. Great history, spec, mileage, the lot. Maybe give Marios a call at Autoshield and ask his opinion. Then buy it for £20k and enjoy!

Hi, I am new to forum- seems a great resource for Maserati owners. I've just sold my bmw z3 m coupe and looking for a GS or GT now.
I came across this car a few weeks ago and it's still available. Anyone know of its history? Seems like it ticks many maintenance boxes.
Matt

GS and GT very different cars. What sort of use/budget do you have in mind?

I know who owned/owns this car, (thought he had sold it) I will make a phone call to check, its a very good car.

I know it’s near Xmas, COVID etc, but if you want a GS, and it’s a colour scheme you like, I would recommend you get that one bought sooner rather than later. Recent spend, mileage, late model etc makes it a no brainer.

Looks lovely to me and a good seller spending 5K on it before sale is good in my book.
I know as I spent 6K on my old 360 Modena before selling it back in 2014.
All part of the adventure :)

Different strokes even though thats a nice looking car I’d rather pick a more distinctive colour like the blue or yellow examples. The GS looks good in black(ive got a black one) but if I had options id go for a more unique spec, black on black is too played out.

Thanks for the comments. Seemed a good price but I was concerned I may be missing something glaringly obvious. I'll begin negotiating with the missus...

It looks incredibly cheap to me, but I’m biased as I have a 2007 LE with very similar mileage…

Does look lovely only thing that stands out to me apart from the price is that those photos were taken months ago.

cheap? compared to the LE with dickie perhaps.
The advertised price is not always the whole story. Anyone with a few years ownership can testify how easy it is to fill that spread between prices of a really good car and a really good priced car.

I have seen that same car on AT.. i first saw it a couple of months or so back at 22k... does look in great condition and with that work recently completed must be a good contender

Beautiful car indeed. Seems like a bit of a bargain for a LE.
On a side note, looking at all the ones listed on AT, I am amazed about how wide the clutch life range is. Quite a few cars sub 35k miles have already received a new clutch (inc a sub 25k), while others have had theirs changed at 55k. I am sure it is very depending upon driving style and whether the car was driven in traffic, but sub 35k miles doesn’t seem like a lot of life for what is a fairly robust clutch system.

There was a sub standard batch of clutches from Valeo in the mid naughties which would have found there way into production models around the same time.

The clutch cover spring tangs collapse prematurely.

This is why generally you see early CC 4200 models achieve 50k from its original clutch with later models doing less than half that figure.
