Very nice colour combo that. Maybe alloys darkened down a bit & then spot on.

The only thing I would ever do is swap my 4200 seats with GranSport ones. Exactly as your old car Dave.

Yeah, Thanks for that Dean - haha- Its actually a year today that I got it back with a new clutch!!!!!!

Fed up of looking for a replacement now - nothing really takes my eye - may need to consider an AM of Jag (well I am nearly 50)

Looks so nice that blue on your old 4200. I can see why many are talking and looking at the F Type and AM. I'm no different and after driving the F Type when it came out at Millbrook I said I would have one when prices drop. They are nearly there but I would need to sell the 4200 & not sure I could do it.

I need to drive a Vantage I think as hopefully it was be rubbish and I could close that door which would make things easier.

You've seen it Andy in Wales and Mr C messaged me after and asked about the wheels as he liked them.

Any questions just ask.

I am the other way round. Driven the AM but looking at Jags this afternoon. Was offered selection of cars for a day or so and may take them up on that. Older XKR is on the radar as well. It is the jag depreciation that bothers me which rules out a new one even though they are discounting heavily and attractive finance deals.

If you want it to be rubbish to put you off I suggest you don't bother driving one

Agree, don't drive one. We have one coming Llandow by the way......Went for a walk this morning and a convey of Astons went past ..... A few V12 Vantage, 2 DB11, DBS, and a mixture of V8 Vantage Coupes and Convertables.

My thoughts too - until mate let me steer his N430 (V8 vantage with manual gearbox). Oh lordy.

The guy I bought my 4200 off of sold me the 4200 as he wanted a Vantage. However, once he drove it he wanted his 4200 back. Just saying.

Ryan said the worst car he ever drove was a 380bhp manual V8 Vantage. According to him it was slow, wallowy, claustrophobic and the clutch was too heavy. Just saying.

I'd say that's a pretty accurate description, I've driven 4 of them and thought that.

I third that. Had a real think about it and took one for the weekend. It was very disappointing. Not a bad car and certainly lovely to look at but just not well set up. I believe that the later cars are far better however so should point out it was an early manual. Still, I wouldn't blame someone for buying one, they hold value well and are decent. Incidentally, I also had a couple of days with the 340bhp entry F-Type coupe and loved it. Saw one recently with 30k on the clock, good spec for £34k which seems good value. The depreciation on a new/nearly one put me off and the value of the one I mention demonstrates that.

I'm an F Type convert after having one last week. A very special car inside and out. The 380 bhp is the one to have as its a better balanced car over the V8.

N430 us the pick of the V8's. Went around Brunty in Adams white one....Beautiful car.....Dan preferred it to the 458 he said it just felt special and the Ferrari was just very fast but didn't move him.

Standard Vantage V8 is dull and as has been said heavy clutch doesn't help with that. The V12 S on the other hand is no slouch!

I fancy an F Type that's for sure.

What a beautiful GS. My favourite colourcombo: carbon black metallic with ivory leather. It also looks really nice. Good luck with the sale!
