To charge £20 to display your car is madness. Without the cars it would not happen. I understand some funding is required but what 100 cars X£20 seems like a funding excercise for the club.
Especially when you consider for your £20 you get the pleasure of the non caring public dragging their buggies, bags and whatever else they are carrying down the side of your car you spent all day polishing is why I won't take my car again. A shame as its a great spectacle.

In? I saw someone ON! Large lady sat on the bonnet of an Alfa for a picture. Bollox to that. You'd need to hang round your car all day with a ****** stick to keep 'em at bay.
Unfortunately ditto. Been a couple of times and it's fun, but kind of risky.

Ten quid says WHU will lose to Manchester United.
I'm not going to Bristol. From Bournemouth it's a beggar to get to and Brooklands us the following weekend which will be better and is easier to get to. Plus people there have a respect for cars.

The event has always been popular with spectators but this causes so much conjestion for others who want to walk through the area for other things to get frustrated and barge past...also Bristol does have some less desirable types (Anti establishment etc) who do not give a hoot about anyone and their treasured possessions.
Add in the narrow streets and overcrowding of some marks...
Shame as it is a nice event other wise and after eight years of going I'm out this year. And pleased to say no issues happened to me/car in all the times I have been.

Is there not many of the forum going this year then...We will come along for a look. Apart from what have been mention the only other thing is it is the same every year....same cars so if you have been a few times you have seen most of it.....Good event for free though...
