But what you're describing is not somebody thinking he is acting reasonably, but somebody justifying an unreasonable behaviour. These are two very different things in my book.

Then we have different books :)

justification
dʒʌstɪfɪˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/
noun

  1. 1.
    the action of showing something to be right or reasonable.
    "the justification of revolutionary action"

If we look at the definition of that word it is pretty ambiguous.

unreasonable
ʌnˈriːz(ə)nəb(ə)l/
adjective

  1. not guided by or based on good sense.
    "she knew she was being unreasonable, but she resented his domesticity"
    synonyms:uncooperative, obstructive, unhelpful, disobliging, unaccommodating, troublesome, awkward, contrary, difficult, tiresome, annoying, vexatious;
    obstinate, obdurate, wilful, headstrong, pig-headed, bull-headed, intractable, intransigent, inflexible, mulish;
    irrational, illogical, opinionated, biased, prejudiced, intolerant, blinkered
    "an unreasonable old woman"
    unacceptable, preposterous, outrageous, ludicrous, absurd, senseless, nonsensical,irrational, illogical;
    excessive, immoderate, extreme, disproportionate, undue, inordinate, exorbitant, extortionate, extravagant, intolerable, unconscionable;
    unnecessary, unjustified, unwarranted, uncalled for;
    informalover the top, OTT, steep
    "the bill placed unreasonable demands on industry"
    • beyond the limits of acceptability or fairness.
      "an unreasonable request"

I have ordered an engine block from Koen and he has started to pull the same old tricks he has in the past… Where is the new thread for customer feedback for KJB?

Yes, I'm not messing around with this **** again. If he sods me off, I WILL report him to local and regional Police as well as a Dutch internet fraud organization I've been in touch with. The apparent contempt he has for his customers is simply a ridiculous way to run a business.

Right, we gave him the opportunity to put his past wrongs right but it appears the issues continue.

SportsMaserati.com does not recommend you use his services.

Or apply some pressure, tell him you're going to get your basement come **** or high water, rent a van, drive to Holland, and knock on his door.
I've been there in person and I had Dutch friends collect parts for me, and it worked as he really has a lot of parts - you can find some pictures on google maps.
Actually, in person, he's been nice, but stories like yours unfortunately happened to some Italian friends as well.

I agree that knocking on the door of a dodgy supplier works wonders.
In my case I found him in the U.K. but I would have gone to Poland if needs be

Jumping in a hired van, driving to see a 'nice man in person' isn't the answer.

That nice man is a pathetic weasel who has history on taking advantage of others and thinks he is beyond the reach of European Consumer Law. One day his come uppance will come when crosses the wrong man.

It's all kicked off on FB, shame really if he actually has all those parts for sale, I've been told that he hasn't, not one, in which case.....not even with your bargepole....

Is there a list of traders to avoid?
It'd be a handy thing to be able to check, before parting with cash.
Alternatively, might be simpler just to ask about a trader's bona fides on the forum.

On a completely different note. I'm subverting my own thread, before you shower do! ;)
Watched 'The Spy' I think its called last night. (Netflix?) First two episodes. Stars Sacha Baron Cohen as
a 60's Mossad agent. I'm not entirely convinced SBC does the role justice, but the thing canters along
at a decent clip and I think its quite watchable. John Le Carre it isn't. But then, nothing else is :)

Diverting, while we wait for Berlin Station, Series 3 :)

I agree, I had terrible problems with Gazella Racing when I ordered an exhaust from them. 18 months after I had paid them I still hadn’t received anything, on the very few occasions they answered the phone I got a load of excuses. I eventually ordered the exhaust directly from the manufacturer and received it within 10 days. Gazella had to be threatened with legal action before they refunded me.
