Best Place to buy X-Pipe

So having originally been sold on buying an H-Pipe, I have been watching various YouTube clips and think I prefer the X-Pipe sound, seems more in keeping....

Where is the best place to buy one, direct from Larini or are there better alternatives?

Drop BennyD, gentleman of this parish, a private message. He'll sort you out.

By the way, I fully agree - the x is a beautiful noise, almost mournful if you climb slowly through 2-3k revs and, when you're nailing it, you get a demented banshee wail as you move through the amber range before get that distinctive Ferrari CRACK when you hit the next gear in MC mode. Deliciously addictive. You won't regret it.

Any indie servicing company will be able to supply and fit Larini. I used PK in Edinburgh (a bit far from you!!) but they can all get them. You can also buy from Larini direct, as you mentioned. Given the price, I didn't bother trying to barter.

Another option is getting Marios from autoshield to make one. Not sure how much Larinis cost- but his was 300 pounds and I think around 75 to fit.

I was very happy with mine.

As said above though- most hassle free might be buy from Larini and get it fitted close to home at a respected indie

I'm glad that you decided to go the X route David, you won't regret and hopefully nor will your wife & neighbours!
Buying directly from Larini seems to make sense and as for fitting, you could try Magraths who aren't too far from you as I know you haven't had any joy with Shiltech

Might have to order it, I assume that will connect right up with my sports cats?

Yes, I bought the cats and Larini pipe as a set from Adam (Morebeans) to go onto my GTS, the fit was excellent. I kept the X for my Stradale which to me sounds perfect, but the cats would have been too much noise!

X Pipe is the more subtle of the two and IMO it is the better option although the Asbos on here will call me a ***** for thinking such thoughts

I'm currently thinking seriously about sticking a Larini x-pipe on mine when it goes in for its MOT in early June. Think that should be just in time to take it to Le Mans!

Could anyone clarify something for me please. I liked the X pipe so much on my GTS I wanted to put it on my new purchase but I don't want to spend 1000s on the exhaust system.

I am looking to buy a low mileage ferrari, but they have told me that I can't have an x pipe alone - i would also have to buy sports cats. 3k for x pipe plus fitting and 3k for the sports cats plus fitting. Can this be true?!

It was the Cali I was asking about - and they seemed adamant!
Do you know anyone I could speak to about it?

Yes- I love it.
My replacement needed to be a convertible and day to day usable and able to go to tesco in it.
I am amazed at the negative comments I have seen by some people- but seen a lot of good reviews on the internet who massively disagree. It's a great car for the niche. I am not comparing it to a 458 as I wouldn't feel comfortable nipping out in that to drop off my daughter at school or go to the shops.

I have looked at about 10 cars and been reading and watching reviews on them all for weeks.

PS- not sure how you can say it's horrible. Significantly faster to 60 than a strad. Shorter and more agile.
Depends what you are comparing it to. I am a surgeon - not Valeri Bottas.
