Second one. It's parked in his kitchen :)

My Bentley was an extraordinary thing. Clearly a different era, but an itch I am happy to have scratched. No help at all to you in the advice part :)

Brake hoses need changing every 5 years. Check radiator not falling apart. If you know nothing then insist on a PPI. Repairs could run into £10k plus. The later model the better. The T is the one to get if possible

Check you fit, sounds daft for a big car but if you’re tall there is not much room in the front.

I can't advise on the Arnage specifically but I had a turbo R until recently. Finding a good example is hard work but once you get there, you will absolutely love it! My advice would be to Avoid anything with small mileage and certainly anything which has been laid up for a long while. They love regular use. Big bills are inevitable but the experience you will get will be like nothing else. Get the 6.75, not the 4.4

  1. PPI is essential. These cars were around £200k new over 20 years ago. Current parts prices still reflect that.
  2. Go in with open eyes and an even more open wallet - see above.
  3. 4.4l was the BMW engine and seen by many as not a 'proper' Bentley. The 6.75l is legendary and was used up until 2020 from its humble beginnings in the late 1950s.
  4. As already mentioned, they like being used. Go for a car that's seen regular use rather than a garage queen.
  5. Buy one!
