Has anyone put a GTS on a rolling road?

Any differences to stated figures (I know it's Dyno specific), and are there differences between auto and MC Shift?

Just interested.

Excellent way to put it. Loved the video. I had some mapping done years back where the guys basically said forget the peak power run we’re not interested in that, work the range for lap times. When the rain fell the car was so drivable and put me seconds in front, there really is a world of difference between a good mapping team and guys trying to do it. Really for the road it’s all about how you feel. If it feels better then thumbs up, all about enjoying and having fun

Yep. Dan spent £600 having his GTS mapped from 434hp to 505hp. Sounds great....until you put it up against a stock GTS (mine) and both cars accelerate at exactly the same speed!

Rolling, stationary...exactly the same.

Well I pulled away from Contigos 3200 in my 4200 in France from a rolling start with radios from 60mph upto 165 mph . So the 4200 is still quicker in the real world . The 3200s turbos took too long to spool up . I was already gone . He sort of caught up by then end , but we were still in front. Dem will corroborate this tale of willy waving although he did have his eyes closed at the time ;P

I ‘did’ a Belgian registered 3200 in Germany; we came up behind him in traffic at about 60, he saw me and pulled the trigger. He moved over at about 150 and we passed him. I’ll never forget the sight of his string backed driving gloves with his white knuckles bulging through the little squares as he crushed the steering wheel, but what p!ssed him off the most was Ryan leaning over and waving at him as we went past with the roof down at well over 165. :)

Yep, you're right Newton. And as per Matt's video above, there was no noticeable difference. The difference on the twin turbo 335d is profound. So much so that there's a noticeable kick when switching to sport mode when the full extent of the power becomes available.

Not worth doing an n/a car without considerable additional mods.

My lotus has been mapped specially for the mods which include being bored and stroked, ported, high lift cams, independent throttle bodies, etc. And in that case the mapping makes all the difference as so many parameters have been changed to get 300bhp out of what is now a 2.2 honda VTEC.FB_IMG_1545230529638.jpg
