Has anyone fitted the BCM uprated airfilter to a 4200/Gransport ?

I have taken the old on off which was a tight fit and pyt the BCM on and it just falls back off again . As in the hole in iot seems too large and does nt grip

Has anyone else experienced this and what the fix ?

cheers

When I changed mine, I had a heck of a job removing the old one (probably because it had never been changed for the last 16 years).
However when fitting the new one it went on a treat.

I think they all fit quite loosely when new and stick in place over time.

As long as it isn’t like a mars bar up oxford street I would have thought it would be fine.

Mine was exactly the same, just put it in like that, seems to work, might do the @2b1ask1 induction mod this winter and do away with original airbox completely.

Have you noticed any improvement in performance Newton?

Aural improvement is beyond measure and I say significant gain after throttle reset and relearn but untested on a rolling road. I would say however that the 4200 was a match for pretty much all at the multiple track days like Brunty. If you can get a view of the video from the track at Modena, you can hear the induction howling as it comes up the straight!!!

Induction howl sounds like a must! Can't find your post re parts used, got a link please, and agree, these cars should not be underestimated, on the last drive I organised, a modified GTR driver was complaining he couldn't keep up with me, and I easily kept up with a 488 Pista on another drive.

Coming back towards Bristol after a forum trackday Matt tried his hardest to lose me in my 02 Classico and at that time he was in his MC shift.
60 Grand versus 10 Grand nothing in it :)

Hopefully someone can link the centenary trip track video; I’m away at the moment so cannot access it. It is truly worth watching. Someone up on the pit lane balcony was filming it and the comments were forthcoming. It was then louder coming towards than going away!
