Back into a Maserati

Hello from a new (and old member)! Having joined back in 2000 with a Grigio Nuvolari 4200 I'm now back behind the wheel of a car I've had an itch for for years. I've been behind the wheel of many and various BMW and Nissan Z cars (I like to mix it up!) since I was last on here and latterly and utterly sublime M6 GranCoupe. Just fancied a change and as the M6 was soooooo good at everything it did it was a tough act to follow hence something a little bit more exotic and different to avoid direct comparisons. Hence collecting a 65 plate, 1 owner, GranTurismo Sport last weekend from a Parks near Glasgow with 14k on the clock. I really wasn't looking for a black car (especially with black wheels) but after a £5k price drop I backed out of negotiations on another car in favour of this - negotiating 2 years extended Maserati warranty being the cherry on top. As I say, black on black, on more black, really wasn't my first choice however appreciate it is a menacing looker. What isn't easy to pick out is the carbon exterior pack (mirrors, spoiler, front splitter & door handles). These alloys were my first choice but is a bit of a shame they get a bit lost in the arches with all the darkness - might address this at some point but likely won't ever get round to it! Only thing missing of any note is BOSE - an odd option not to tick at this price-point but hey ho - I'm sure I'll live. Whilst the tech is absolutely gash (especially coming from Germany's finest) but thankfully that wasn't the draw of this car ;)

Hi Roger, what a lovely GT S........

I know what you mean about the M6 Grancoupe...Its a awesome piece of kit. Never driven one but got blown away as passenger. Love the look of them as well. Console yourself in your lovely GT S though.

Nice Roger, glad you got sorted.

Thanks Dicky. Sorry it didn't work out that I got a car from you - maybe the I'll get the GranTurismo's replacement from you ;) Rest assured, I'd wholeheartedly recommend anyone approaches you, as they'd be in great hands.

Nice one. Does that mean you're local to Glasgow or did you just buy there and head south?

Stockport neck of the woods. Glasgow & back same day. Funnily enough the last time I was in Glasgow 2 years ago was when I collected the M6 - it got traded-in back to the supplying dealer!!

Lovely car, congrats.

I looked at the M6 grancoupe before buying the GT. Great car all-round but missed the WOW factor of the GT.
