Hi All,

So a few of you may remember I sold my beloved 2010 Blu Oceano GT-S MC Shift in June 2016. Having owned and enjoyed the car for 2.5 years I sold for practical reasons and posted on here that I’d be back to GT ownership at some point as I loved every minute of ownership. I’m pleased that almost exactly 5 years to the day I will be! I will be collecting my 2019 Blu Sofisticato GT Sport next Saturday and cannot wait. Car has a fresh MD service, Maz warranty through to March ‘24, 6.5k miles and is mint with a very well known history.

Having owned one before my intention is that this is a keeper (never the plan with my first GT). I’m looking forward to be the one putting the miles on it as well as looking after it and trying to ignore the furious depreciation I’m about to experience if I ever have to sell :D

It takes a while to find a particular car where you think “this is it” and the GT feels like “it” for me, and this will be no.2 on my keeper list.

Look forward to joining a few of you in person again at an event in the future!86460864618646286464

Great, Tower Garage too. Used to fly round that roundabout on the way home back in the day in my 3200.

My first additional investment (as if I needed one) is to PPF the front soon after I get it. There are only 2-3 small stone chips and was thinking I have to make the decision to protect it now or never. Anyone have recommendations in West Sussex or close by as good people to do it at reasonable cost. Saw a thread on here about PPF on the inside of the arches also so want to do that as well if I can as this seems an area vulnerable to chips and then rust. Any other tips on preventative steps?

Maranello have a relationship with Reep. Maybe ask them about a deal to ppf it if you haven’t already picked it up.

Thanks, I haven’t got it yet so will ask them for a quote, cheers

Have to say the service and prep have been exceptional so far. By example when I viewed it the first time it had tyres that were in good shape (including the inner edges) that I’d accepted as good to go as part of the deal. When I went to do the paperwork 2 weeks later and the car had been serviced, 4 brand new tyres had been fitted with no discussion (plus an extra year had been added to the warranty out to 2024). Cannot argue with that!

Fantastic, congratulations - it looks great

It looks very similar to one that Marshall in Peterborough sold new in 2019, it was the last GT that they ordered for stock and sold - maybe it's the same car, were they the original supplying dealer?
