So as you know, sold my Strad to Stan (Slay) last November and became Maserless for the 1st time since 2005 (it was a good run)...

Anyway, starting a start-up in Zurich (yes a glutton for punishment) so need a daily driver for the weekly airport run. Went to see one and decided that I missed a Granturismo but wanted something more in line with the character of a GT not a GT3-style competitor.

So got these 2 babies delivered today.

Interesting to see how the Ghibli commutes.

Am I reading this correctly...you missed having a Maserati, so you bought two?

Or just trying out?

Errrr, yep!!

Quite how that happened I do not know...

My wife always wanted a GranCab and I wanted a QPV GT S. Thought I’d found a 17k mile one but on inspection, it had only had an oil change for the major 4 year service by a local garage and I was gutted. Then again, I need a reliable daily to do the Airport schlepp so having a full 3 year warranty and all the gizmos actually swayed it for me.

Ride on the Ghibli is “interesting” and I will need to get an X and Larini valved boxes as I need to hear it!!!! Ok does have double glazing but even so, so sound and a chip will be on order as it could do with another 100 brake and swell of torque....

Congrats Stu, wow you bought 2!! This shows how difficult it is to replace a Maserati Granturismo, not many other options out there to give you the same driving emotion and pleasure at this price level, and not as shouty as a Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Why are all your Maserati black? Not that I don’t like them, they do look great in black, but I do recall none of your other cars in your garage was black. Imagine your scooby is in black rather than the signature blue colour!

Ha ha!!!

My youngest’s 9th birthday!!

Had a quick drive this evening as came on transporters and never experienced “scuttle shake” before as the only open-tops I have are Lotus’ and they were designed as a tub.

...... note to draft “must remember it’s a lazy cruiser”.....

Congratulations on the purchase...or should that be purchases? I had a Ghibli as a loaner car for about 10 days a few weeks ago and I was quite impressed with its performance. It certainly is much quieter than the GT and the ride is certainly more "refined" than the GT. As the owner of a GT convertible, I can certainly understand your comment regarding "scuttle shake". It adds an interesting feeling to the drive.
