Thought I would give this a try.
I've used Bilt Hamber snow foam for a while and think this is great, so continue to do so as cheaper than the autoglym polar blast snow foam.
So after getting the bulk of the winter dirt off now tried the autoglym polar wash as the contact wash.
This applied like the snow foam through my foam canon, and covers the car like snow foam.
Now using wash mit agitate the foam already on the cars paint, rinsing the mit in a plain bucket of water as you go.
Then rinse, in my case using my filtered 0 ppm water.
Brilliant!
So much easier than having a bucket of soapy water and now back to one bucket just to rinse the wash mit.
I found the 2.5lt bottle to be £10, from my local motor factors, actually much cheaper than the car detailing Web sites or Halfords.
Quick and easy great for this time of year with no fear of hot sun drying out the foam before you finish.

Might give this a try. I recommend polar seal to finish it off too to add a bit of protection or top up wax/ceramic coatings. Very easy spray on and wash off.

Polar Wash is my go to ever since I bought the QP.

I do however need to purchase a clay mitt.

Clay mitts are wonderful. Big thumbs up for filtered water as well, especially on a hot day when the sun's doing its best to create water stains.

I'll give Polar Wash a spin, thanks.

0 ppm filtered? what are you using to filter your water - something I could most certainly do with!

Polar seal is great, did the van and vw with it yesterday, very economical and a great job, very popular with the trade as well due to ease of use.

Ive been using both Polar Blast and Bilt Hamber for a while now on my QP6 running as a comparison.

I've finally chosen Autoglym.

Using my karcher, Autoglym froths up more, sticks to the paintwork longer without running down, removes grime more effortlessly in my opinion, I dont use mit on my foaming regime, and I carry a small bottle in car for our pigeon friends, that works more noticeably better than Bult product.

Just thought I'd share :)

Just found this and thought I’d add my two pennies after doing the detailing stuff for a few years now. I’ve tried a number of different snowfoams but nothing has the cleaning power of BH for me. It doesn’t foam as well as some of the others (and is therefore less Insta worthy) but in that 5 minutes of dwell time, it softens the dirt and often takes a fair bit with it on its way to the ground. I often see dirty foam puddling underneath the car which says to me that it’s doing its job really well.

If the car is particularly dirty I’ll also use some SurfexHD as an APC to really increase the cleaning power before applying the snowfoam.

The AG Polar Wash is a revelation and saves my back as well as cleaning properly and also providing a very good indicator of where you have and haven’t cleaned yet. The Polar Seal does a great job too (even on glass, where they say it shouldn’t be used).

If you find that you’ve got days to lose, you can go down the detailing rabbit hole with the Forensic Detailing Channel on YouTube - some very good tests on there, including snowfoam battles.

Having run out of BH snowfoam, I actually find BH Surfex HD actually works just as well as a snowfoam through the snowfoam lance.
BH touch on is simply brilliant too as a spray on, spray off sealant.

Hello, nice read but just had to ask, BH your preferred choice of use but you go on to say AG a revelation.
So your first choice is BH though ?

Morning!
Yes, my other half rolls her eyes but in a nutshell…

Wheels - BH wheel cleaner (amazing)
Tyres - BH SurfexHD
Pre-wash spritz - SurfexHD
Snowfoam - BH
Wash - AG Polar Wash (this was a game changer for me - being thick suds and going through the gun)
Sealant - AG Polar Seal

Well I think all of our other halves roll their eyes when we are up and running.
In my defense I did warn her that as an italian, owning an italian car, it would be a challenging journey for her :saifi:

After all, it's a Maserati

My detailer says the whole snow foam thing is just to look impressive, and he doesn't use them at all.
Interesting........me personally I like the fact it soaks the dirt off, especially pigeon poo, its stops scratching the paintwork.
The paintwork of today is too fragile unlike back in the day, I've had personal experience of trying to lift baked grime/poo pre foaming days, and results would seriously peev me off at the Mark's left.
So it's a case of ive listened and read and watched videos but I've done what I'm happy with, it's a pain I wont deny but I am happy.
The detailer did an outstanding job on my car before collecting and wish not to undo the work.

Everyone should experiment to find what works for them and what they are able to keep up with

My favoured one doesn’t look impressive at all and thankfully I can see how much it lifts off the car. Wouldn’t be the end of the world if they didn’t exist, but I think they can do a job. If a car is washed each week or isn’t too dirty then a couple of buckets and a nice wash mitt (with the bonus of half the time spent) should be up to the job.

Use the AG products on mine, but find that too many applications of polar seal leaves a residue which has a oily type finish to the bright work (not oily as in sticky, but that colour patter you get if oil goes into water).
