Maserati was one of the best represented marques today (way more so than in the past) but….the event was significantly quieter than previous years.

There must have been half or maybe two thirds the number of cars present that I have seen at previous events, which is a shame especially as the tickets are a third more expensive!

:-(
Yes, we were very well represented, but I agree with @Bobby Dandruff the rest of it was disappointing, Good to meet you @makeshiftUK and catch up with @Zep and others I haven't seen for a couple of years.

Well apart from the rusty Fiats and the noisy Lamborghinis the day was awesome

Always wanted one of those. What's the story?

If I remember correctly it was originally purchased new by the official photographer to the Monaco Royal Family who owned it for 27
years before it was bought by Martin Lange the former Brentford FC Chairman who had it restored to this colour (it was originally white with black leather). I think anyway…. :-/

PS My first two Dinky toys were a blue Iso Grifo and a white Ford GT40.

Sorry I didn't get round to meeting any of you today. I did pop back to the cars a few times, but couldn't tell who was just admiring the cars, and who were owners. lol There were some lovely Mazers, and good to see there were a few like us with the child seats in, proving their practicality. Passers by seemed quite surprised.
Having never been to Brooklands before, we had quite a lot to try and get round with the museums etc. and keeping the little one interested.
I'm surprised people are saying it was a poor turn out, there were loads of cars! Think we only walked round 1/2 of them.

One thing that surprised me a lot, was how much I like the modern Ferraris in the flesh. Since the 355, I thought I only liked the 458, but actually all the new ones since the 458 look mega in person. (didn't really like them in pictures)

Great day out and really good to see sooo many Maseratis and to meet great like minded people!

Today was my father-in-laws 79th birthday and we did the test hill 4 up in the QP - he and the whole car loved it!

Nice one! Saw you go up the hill 4 up lol.
Also waited for the GT to go up before leaving.

Some snaps I took from today. Some observations:

  • Blu Med GS's are as common as muck... OK, so the first other one I've ever seen was in the row behind us!
  • Spotted an F12 TDF... very shiny, and very pricey judging by the 3 or so on AT...
  • Very taken by the Maserati edition Abarth! If I ever had a need for a small runaround...
  • Bad taste award goes to the owner of the purple Lambo with bright orange accents. Seriously.

I prefer the blue 458 in the background. I hope the brat in the red top wasn’t kicking it.
