Autel logging request

Good morning, all.

Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction: I am struggling to see how (or indeed if) the AP200 can log live data on a second for second type basis?

There is an icon at the top right that claims to be logging data, but when you stop it, and save that data, all you get is date, time and any DTCs that may have been thrown. What I want is to be able to record MAF, throttle opening, RPM and so on, over a period.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

The data logging function is not usually recording of live data. It allows you to record error codes during a session.

I’m not that familiar with Autel. When you go into live data is there a “record” button?

No

Don’t know what Autel you have or which one this is but I got the screen shot off google,

No sadly. Not that advanced. Might be time for an upgrade

The launch will record live data for later review. What it won’t do is export it in CSV form for analysis. Which I would have quite liked.

I brought a Autel maxisys ms906 pro e-cu coding 2 weeks ago for my sick alfa quod reads some but would not read all and could not reset faults
Rang AUTEL UK And was asked the sn number then told as i had brought it from Autelglobal a overseas authorised dealer from outside the eu not from with in the eu it was regarded as a gray import and would not get there uk support and eu car manufacturers have a block on clearing the codes and I can t buy the auto manufacturer code unlocking software as the sn number sticker did not start eu so instead of paying £950 i would need to send it back and buy one from a autel uk distributor outlet at a cost of £1700.00
i see that as carteling the market rang hmrc gov imports dept and they got all cagey and said they could not comment i would need to liaise with distributer
so ive just sent it back
Good old rip off uk

log book is 2017 comes up on the autel unit as 2018 i did not think the early ones had a bloke on them thats why i rang autel uk for advice

You probably only need an SGW cable. There is a gateway that is installed in cars *about* that time that prevents clearing of the code. A quick Amazon search should get you one for about £15.

I sort of get Autel's point about the support (although so far, you're not missing much), but not keen about the software (IF it's different)

Don't suppose you can share the phone number?

Cheers

i brought one like a y cable could no find any where to plug in behind the dash

Assuming it's like the Ghiblis you need to disconnect a couple of plugs. Loads of Youtube vids of our cars, but be worth looking for your Alfa.

The double end goes into the module, and the single goes into your ELM. That's from memory. Because I don't have an SGW I've taken only a passing interest. Most of the Maser drivers go 'Oh yeah, that's how you do it...', so I never dug deeper
