Hi All,

Ive done a quick search here and can't find anyone that has upgraded the audio on the Ghibli yet (2014 - standard s*it audio), which is surprising considering how bad it is!

Has anyone done? I would like to keep the MTC head unit but upgrade all the speakers, sub amp etc...
Any recommendations?

I've seen a number of comments around upgrading the system on the US forum. Seems like am easy job to replace the existing speakers, but with the Bowers and Wilkins system in my car, there are more speakers in the doors etc. The connection cable for the rear parcel shelf sub should be there, so that should be a simple one to add. Good luck.

The Bowers & Wilkins system seems a bit of a mixed bag.
Depending on what is being played it can go from sounding excellent to average. Whilst the volume has to be about midway or above for adequate sound.

I have to say, that with me being ‘stuck in the 80’s’, the Bowers and Wilkins system is nothing short of amazing!

Given that I'm mostly listening to radio, where the quality is patchy, and failing that the engine, I'm happy with the bog-standard system.

The upgrading the audio thing is something that I've never got unless you are adding additional features; DAB, Bluetooth, CarPlay etc. I mean you have traffic noise, wind noise, tyre noise, and the engine. All of these compromise the listening experience anyway. So unless you are going to go and sit in your car, stationary with the engine off, I don't really understand the audiophile nature of improving ICE systems.
