More Italian style, soul and mysterious Mediterranean logic lost to the Teutonic types..........the world gets more boring and predictable by the day

I think its either something like this or Alfa may not have a viable long term future.
Lets face it they are all over the place at the minute.

Not a big Audi fan but I reckon it could be the best thing.

Alfa do seem to have lost what made them desirable years ago without anyone else getting involved......Pretty cars but the great engines left years ago.....Plus a 2 car range (not including the 4C) is a pretty bad place to be.........I've said before but they bring out the 4C when they need something that will sell in the medium sector first...

There is a reason why Audi sell a shed load of cars.....and Like you Dave I really am not an Audi fan......but it could be good for Alfa if Audi are will to pump some money into the company to help in the long term.

It's been knocking around for a while now. It could be good for the company, ie become self sufficient but it would not be good for us petrol heads.

Alfa need to get back to do what they do best, a 2 seater convertible, a 2 plus 2 coupe and a 4 seat saloon and SW with a halo 8c car based on a Maserati.

Have a JTD, a 4c turbo and a V6 produced by Alfa only.

Keep weight and price down.

Then they can introduce a hatch, its never been a car Alfa have excelled in.

Alfa V6 coupe, how many of those do you think they would sell....bucket loads!

Time to resurrect the Alfa GTV Arese I say!

Now there's a thought Matt...Alfa lost it's best engine when that past away....Now they have good looking cars with characterless engines...

And too much weight. The V6 Brera is only 100 kilos or so shy of a GT-S.

Yeah...they bombed on that car.....how could they have gotten it soooooo wrong and ruined their heritage......light, powerful and a delight to drive??!!

Unforgiveable IMHO

Yes...it was a bit ar5e heavy....but still looked proportioned.....not an ugly car by any means

But as with Lancia...pairing up European styling with SH!TE USA engines......doomed to fail.......

As I was told by the salesman in 1999 when test driving my first Alfa GTV TS...."you pay for the engine and suspension and the rest of the car is thrown in for free"

No truer a word spoken.
