Hi Wattie,

I know that these cars can sometimes take a while to move, and I guess its not really the perfect time to sell with all that is going on right now. Couple of interested parties but as yet, no viewings! I'm 99% sure that if a serious buyer takes a look at my car in person, it will be sold!

I haven't really put too much effort into advertising just yet either. I have the car booked in at SportsItalia on the 9th April for a fresh MOT, and a check/ adjustment of the new clutch settings now that its had 500 miles to bed in. All is spot on, but want to make sure PIS point is optimized. I'm also having the rear track arm dust covers replaced as they came up as an advisory on the last test. On close inspection they had not actually failed. As Im only covering 1500 dry miles, it was decided to tackle them at the next visit.

Plan is to get the car up on Autotrader/ Pistonheads etc. after this work is complete.

After all of the time and investment I have put in, my man math's calculator has started work on ways to keep both the GS and my new car. Have figured out I can comfortably fit both in the garage now. Only part I'm struggling with is that I'm only doing about 1500 miles a year at present. Just have a nagging feeling that I may well regret letting this one go! but it is probably the sensible thing to do.

With a heavy heart, I waved goodbye to my Gransport yesterday.
I cant recall a time where I have become quite so attached to a car! Seriously considered keeping her but with the new cars arrival, it just didn't make any sense to do so when I would be covering just a few hundred miles a year ....so tough decision was made.

Whilst they can take a little more time and money to care for properly, a good Gransport is still an absolute bargain considering what they deliver. They are truly fantastic cars and a certain future classic!
Wishing the new owner many very happy miles!

So....its time to go and Join the Aston forums I guess, but not sure I'm really feeling it over there. Anyone mind If I hang around here for a bit longer? :)

Always welcome to remain and stay involved; plenty on here have, several have also returned to the marque after a hiatus!

I shouldn't be posting the above picture on the AM forum or they will blow a gasket!

This is an Aston forum, just that most haven't realised yet. Don't tell anyone and whatever you do, don't leave.

By the way, annoyingly, Aston stuff tends to be on Facebollocks. But there are some good groups there and, like here, some people who know what they're talking about.

The new owner of your GS is a very lucky person. That said, you’ve not done badly yourself with the Virage - having sat in yours it’s an incredibly special place to be!!

Astons and Bentleys apparently...oh and the odd Porsche...(very odd!)
