Hi All,

My first post on here after reading loads. Amazing source of info on these cars, thanks!.

I completely fell in love with this car a while ago and after a few twists and turns, the car is now mine :) I have always had a very soft spot for the Gransport, but the colour of this one really caught my eye. Might not be to everyone's taste maybe, but I think its just perfect. Couldn't help myself :)

It arrived with me on Friday. Here it is after a quick polish!
She drives great, and so far everything is behaving exactly as it should, but I do have a shortlist of jobs to attend to which I was aware of before purchase so I expect I will be back soon with more questions.

One thing that has surprised me is how firm and "sports car" the Gransport feels. The car is very quick and pointy on the steering (in a good way) and the engine, responsiveness and the noise it makes is just awesome. Much more of a sports car feel compared to my previous Vantage, despite this one having 4 proper seats which is an added bonus!. Also, the automated manual in this car is already feels better than sportshift IMHO, but early days.

In based near Gatwick and it looks like Giallo will be my closest specialist. Does anyone have any feedback on these guys, or any other recommendations for places nearby? Car is due a service now.
Tricky to see in the pics, but the car will need a little cosmetic paintwork up front to bring it up to standard. Again, anyone have any recommendations here?
The driver side window button seems to have collapsed!. It still works fine, but its rather loose. I haven't had chance to take a closer look as yet but suspect the plastic button has a broken pivot point. Does anyone know if this is an easy repair, or where to get hold of a replacement switch?

Cheers

Matt.

Welcome, the AL & Blu Scurro interior looks fab. Is this DaveT's previous? xxxxWLZ.
Giallo are highly respected, forum sponsors and Mathew & Sharon are great people to deal with.
You also have Autofficina nearby who are, again, forum sponsors. Not been there but others here have recommended them.
You're spoilt for choice. Enjoy.

We know this car and a previous (although not the last) owner. Congrats! Do have it inspected and given its age, repair whatever comes up and it will likely give you a lot of joy.

The car did look very tempting on Autotrader at the last price listed. Hope you have many miles of happy motoring.

Check out the sponsors page on here for recs, but also sportsitalia in Southampton... they have my GS in for similar work at the moment.

Beautiful car - love AL as a colour! And so important that you know her provenance ...

Love the colour of your GS, never saw it before on a Maser. It looks similar to the colour of my Tuscan... ;)

Thanks Danny, I had lots of TVRs over the years but never a Tuscan. Good looking car and an S by the looks of it!

Didn't plan on buying a Gransport, but the colour really drew me to this car. I think there are only 2 in the UK.

Superb colour. Love it. Is this the one that lived in ilkley, West Yorkshire earlier in the year?
