While the Uk political incompetents focus on Covid risks, (112,000 mainly elderly, 80+ or pre existing condition deaths)

Covid pushes NHS treatment waiting list to 4.7 million
The number of people in England waiting to start hospital treatment rose to a record high of 4.7 million as the NHS struggled to cope with an influx of Covid-19 patients. The figure from NHS England covers patients waiting for routine operations and procedures in February. It is the highest number since records began in August 2007. Meanwhile, the number of people having to wait more than a year to start hospital treatment stood at 387,885 in February 2021, the highest number for any calendar

This makes no sense at all.
Scamdemic.

You are comparing deaths to people requiring treatment. But the article you have refer to states that over 400,000 people have required hospital treatment for Covid. It also says that 387k people have waited more than a year for treatment.

In my view it would more informative / accurate to compare the number of patients treated rather than the deaths vs waiting list.

For example, 4.7m are waiting for treatment. This is quite an alarming number. The number in November 2019 was 4.42m so not great, but not quite as alarming. The 387k people waiting more than a year have all been affected by the pandemic as the figure was around 1.5k in 2019.

We can work out from this that the NHS carries out about 4.4 million treatments per annum (as the list was 4.42m in 2019 but only 1.5k had waited more than a year). So the recovery is going to need an increase of 5% in the number of treatments carried out.

Just to be clear, this doesn’t require a response. I am just pointing out the discrepancy in your analysis. Also, regarding the last line, bear in mind my comments regarding your rhetoric.

In shock Aussie news
International borders might not open even if whole country is vaccinated: Greg Hunt
The Health Minister suggested Australia’s international border closures could stay in place even if the entire population had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Read in The Sydney Morning Herald: https://apple.news/AXQ1p1J4GRQqGjieE8S-SMQ

Question.
If the vaccines work, why can’t you live like they work?

These people have well and truly lost the plot and we need to vote them out.

I’ve stated looking at the requirements I need for retuning to uk in June for my 2nd jab.
  1. PCR test 3 days before arrival. Fair enough.
  2. Isolate for 10 days. Fair enough.
  3. Pay for another 2 tests on day 2 and 8 £159. Wtf for. I’m isolating for 10’days.

I did this when I came back in Feb. The tests were 200 quid then. And they arrived on day 15. Did them both within an hour of each other. Incompetence that beggars belief.

Just can’t understand why I need to test if I’m isolating. And why 2. Why not just on day 8/9. And it has to be booked before you travel

And the queues at the airport are mainly caused by the folks not booking the kits and then having to buy them while they are at the desk at passport control. Rubbish.

Barely any messaging on the benefits of a fitter healthier lifestyle.

Anywhere.

Doesn’t bode well for down here.

Australia ranked 6th out of 22 countries with available data for the proportion of people aged 15 and over who were overweight or obese (65%)—this was greater than the OECD average of 59%.27 Nov 2020.
