Is it possible for the common cold to be eradicated if it never spreads and dies out?

Excellent. I'm in the same boat. Overreactive autoimmune system. Had my first Wednesday anticipating system overreaction. Only mild so far looking good.

Apparently his medication for pneumonia meant he couldn’t have the vaccine.

The question is ........... where and how did he get it, surely he didn't go out partying or shopping.
Genuine question as "the family" have not said.

Someone's gone out, caught doing something quite likely essential, come home and given it to him. I don't believe the guy is living in isolation.
Unfortunate, but household transmission is pretty much impossible to stop

He does live in a care home/sheltered accommodation plus he was being treated for pneumonia prior so doctors nurses etc.

That is the big worry though. Lives in care home/sheltered accomodation and someone like a carer gives it to him. I guess some people are just not super cautious? One of the reasons we havn't put wifes 91 year old mum in a care home, we don't believe carers are careful enough.
