We got my daughter a saxophone that she has played for many years to help her breathing and lungs develop. Seems to have worked really well.

Didn't realise how loud a Saxophone was though although it is a lovely sound.
Our music club playlist last night was Saxophone related choices. Enjoyed most of them. Some were very noisy.

Running order
  1. Gaudy side of town - Gayngs
  2. A night like this - The Cure
  3. Oh bondage! Up yours! - X-ray Spex
  4. The man with the red face - Laurent Garnier
  5. Could heaven ever be like this - Idris Muhammad
  6. The wheel - Spear of destiny
  7. There there my dear - Dexy’s
  8. Solitary ashtray - Inner City Unit (on YouTube)

I was just listening to radio 4

India is the world's largest vaccine manufacturer , they've started production of the Oxford vaccine

They were interviewing a doctor , when asked if he would be taking the vaccine he said

No , none of us will, not yet , as doctors we're led by science , the vaccine isn't proven yet , we don't want to be the guinea pigs

I thought , I wonder if that goes out in India :D

Edit fake news. I only caught the end of it , it was covaxin he was talking about

Pfizer’s vaccine was only ever tested with the second dose at 21 days. The companies statement on this was clear.

Let's pause with the negativity and celebrate a success.

My mum has had her first vaccination last Thursday and goes back a week Thursday for her second. It's the Pfizer one.

Now, let's look at the numbers to date.

How many people have been infected over the last year with Covid19?

3,357,361 till today.

How many have been vaccinated since it started?

3,559,179 up to and including 15 January.

The last 7 days saw 339,956 positive tests. We're vaccinating a similar number every day and this number will rise as teething problems are ironed out and the more mobile groups being jabbed. My neighbour Audrey is 90 and its been a faff getting her to the vaccination centre, when it comes to me, I can get myself there.

I think that those involved deserve a pat on the back. We'll have this beat soon.

Hear hear!

My Dad has his first dose on Friday, so it feels like a long journey back to some sort of normality.

No side effects apart from a bit of tenderness around the injection site.
