It seems I have been chosen at random by NHS and Imperial College London to take part in COVID - 19 testing.
After I register (I will) they send me a testing kit for my hooter and gob via Royal Mail around 21st August and a courier collects said sample for analysis. (I get to know results within one week).
The purpose of this test is to give Gvernment data on where the Covid is in a regional sense and it will tell me if I have the virus at the time of the sample. It will not tell me if I have had the virus (I suspect I have had it in December Christmas week 2019 but that is only my guess) so where is that registration website..............................?

As expected we're a retail business with closed stores for 3 months, they are looking for 10% redundancies hoping to cover via voluntary & early retirement options but lets see how it pans out - now I wonder how much they will pay me to take the retirement option ;)

Well worth investigating. Good luck.

My bil worked for a local Yorkshire bank.....rounds and rounds of redundancies, always passed over as he was too good at his job....
Last year he had a heart attack, think he’s 58.....they offered him redundancy this time as it seems it works out cheaper than his death in service benefit......

Wouldn’t death in service benefit be covered by an insurance policy? Sounds like they’re concerned about his health and have offered him a nice way out if he wants to take things easy.

According to the BBC and Sky news you have to quarantine coming back from France now.

Yep.
My uncles apartment in Annecy hasn't been visited in over 6 months, Infact we were the last there in February half term skiing.
Was actually speaking to him earlier today and they have just cancelled going out for two weeks today as too risky, just before the announcement.

SportsMaserati, where world leaders go to connect with the common man :omg:

And let's face it. we really are very common. I heard that Zep once passed the Port across the table and that some of the chaps on here had to buy their own furniture.

If they offer you VR, the redundancy deal is good and the pension figures are OK, then just grab it with both hands. I did the same 15 months ago, at the grand old age of 57. You wont regret it and I can honestly say its liberating...no more corporate BS to put up with or performance reviews to worry about etc..(apart from the wife that is!)

That would be great, at least you would get to actually see, and not have ** up revelers walking all over your stuff trying to get to the bogs!

How do you get in and out of your pen then, one at a time, single file 2m apart ,

even going to the pub is **** , we made the mistake of going on 50% off night , I'm surprised they've got any staff left after listening to them herding cats for 90 minutes , follow the one way system, stay behind the line, you can't go out that door, don't cut through there , go round.

No waiting on tables indoors , they call you to a table near the kitchen to collect you food, my table number got called for 2 starters, when I got there they'd made 3 , I picked the two up I'd ordered then told them that wasn't mine , she shouts into the kitchen , sorry that's table 6 not 7 , can you put them back, so I did :D

I won't be going back anytime soon

Yep. I won’t be eating out for a while. My daughter has in a few places and she actually reckons Weatherspoons is one of the best. Not for the food obviously, but the way they are set up and using the app etc. Distancing not a problem. Sons girlfriend works in local Thai Place. She said it was better during lockdown when she was just delivering as people with this 50% thing are just a pain in ****. Turning up without booking etc. And then getting arsey.
