It's pretty much my only occupation now. The government is paying me 80% of begger all to do it.
This is what I don't get as well. We will have tons of well and able brains to use as a resource that will be doing nothing as furloughed. Doesn't seem to quite make sense in the current climate.

I agree some will need to look after children but there must still be tons sitting there twiddling thumbs.

We all know there aren't enough police , if the scum of the UK start taking this as an opportunity to loot we're going to need a lot more, ask retired coppers to come back on desk duties and get the younger ones on the streets

You only have to look at the gangs of youths running amok in supermarkets in the US in normal times to see it won't take much for them to think free for all , they won't need a gun , just the threat of spitting might be enough to stop anyone but the police intervening

Scumbags like this need stamping on quicklyView attachment 67732
I'd be happy to see Guantanamo bay style prisons built to house them , **** whatever human rights they have .

Yesterday a mate told me one of his neighbours in his mid 70s who'd been self isolating for 2 weeks went to check on a neighbour, on his way back to his house a gang surrounded him and started coughing in his face so now he's terrified he's got it.

Something needs to change , fast
Jesus what scum. What possible benefit do these pathetic characters gain from bullying elderly single people? Bring back the gladiatorial rings and let them Fight it out amongst themselves and see how brave they are then. Pay per view- profits go to saga.

Ian, first let me state that I’m a mechanical engineer and have no idea about the workings of the body and diseases which will probably be evident by my question. This “Russian Roulette” regarding the way some folk are seriously/fatally hit by this also intrigues me. Is it possible that some folk apart from being attacked by the virus in a normal way could also be suffering an allergic reaction to it at the same time thus compounding the effect?
  1. There is good evidence that ‘viral load’ affects the outcome - ie: either repeated or large initial exposure (ie: doctors and nurses and paramedics etc)
  2. As you suggest there is an ‘over reaction’ in some people by way of a ‘cytokine storm’ which is an over reaction of the immune system that leads to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The lungs fill with fluid.

There was a thread I was following in Ferrari USA website. It was............where will the first riots break out?
What about in the UK, could it happen here?

Having just read the food section of the Telegraph on what’s “cooking with what’s left in your pantry” my money is on the Cotswolds or Home Counties apparently it’s getting desperate as no Knorr stockpots are available and they’re having to resort to Oxo cubes.

Meanwhile here at Aer Lingus we've sent two wide-body Airbuses to Beijing to collect supplies to combat CV19, one had to turn back due to bird-strike.
