The first house they bought together was this little black and white in a small village. About a week after they’d move in a brown envelope came through the door. In it was a copy of Mayfair from the late 1970s. The centre page was ‘the colonel’s daughter” lounging across a chaise longe in their living room. Apparently it was quite the village scandal as she was the owner of the house at the time.
I Love that story.

It’s official. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Never been so ashamed for other people in my life.

Unfortunately Dave its a human trait the world over, I used to see it on a weekly basis in the queues for the WFP and cringe , All these people are in the same boat looking for weekly hand outs, Ive seen women scratch each others eyes out over a bowl of flower which ended up on the floor , husbands with 4/5 wives in the queue cheating the system , Police Army and National security parliament members all the same , if they havent had there's put to one side discreetly first , A day later half f it is forsale in the local markets .

Well, when I say 'over-reported' I mean a wildly inflamatory story where the headline is "Tesco shoppers 'fight'" and the eye-witness report is, "Very poor organisation of the NHS hour at Dudley, nice queue formed, single door opened, queue fell apart."

i do take your point and although not physical fisticuffs in the UK yet, it wont be long before some people will come to blows and it's good thing that it's being reported now as a warning sign of things to come perhaps

'Team Brexit at Work'....

TWO FLAGS DON'T MAKE A GREAT STATESMAN...

I read everywhere that we need to support poor Boris because he's having such a hard time and doing such a great job in such difficult circumstances.

WAKE UP! HE IS NOT!!!

A few examples from the unusually critical Andrew Marr show today:

- Johnson signed off on 'expert' Dominic Cummings's plan for 'herd immunity' as it would only result in 100.000 deaths! They 'changed their mind' when it was pointed out by real experts that the number would be more like 500.000 unmitigated, or 250.000 mitigated! So, get this straight: 1 - they were ready to sacrifice 100.000 people in a Cummings experiment and 2 - weeks of proper preparation and proper advice were wasted.

- The government says NHS staff is fully equipped and protected. Two doctors on the show categorically deny this. There is no adequate PPE and they feel like lambs being sent to the slaughter, plus, in travelling up and down to work they are spreading the virus further themselves!

- just the other day Johnsons said he was going to visit his mum on mother's day, only hours later to do a u-turn on this...

...and I'm only halfway the programme...

This country does not need a wannabe Churchill - we need true statesmanship - URGENTLY, NOW!67246

I've never had to use or type it before! In this case I think they should invoke martial, Marshall, marshal, Anthony Martial and any other bl00dy law required to control these idiots!!

I hope said brown envelope came with an explanation. Otherwise it would seem a bit strange to be receiving a jazz mag as a welcome gift!

I would say Marital Law might fix it, but....

My sister and her husband are both NHS (although he’s started wearing things with leather elbow patches so may be moonlighting with his hand up a cow). They went to Tesco this morning in the NHS hour and didn’t even get out the car as it was packed.

I went to Sainsbury’s at 1130 and it was empty, one person in front of me at the till. My sister asked me to get her some essentials so she now has 3 bottles of red two bottles of white and a selection from Mr Kipling along with some less critical goods.

Indeed. We have a tiny number of ICUs here in Wales. Not worth the risk. This pandemic is certainly bring out both the best and worst in people.

The Ms has been mountaineering for many years and keeps in contact with some of the mountain rescue guys. Teams in Wales had to go out and rescue a number of inexperienced and unprepared people from Snowdonia and the Brecons yesterday. Apparently it was busier than a summer bank holiday.

No it really didn’t. That made it even funnier at the time.

There was a post it note sticking out of said page and a return address on the envelope.

She showed us and we were going through it: bush..... bush .... bush..... (it was from the 70s) bush... oh fu@k me that’s your living room.
