Lots of potential implications here.

If you had the Pfizer jab could you be given the Moderna top up or will you have to wait for the Pfizer equivalent?

This might be a problem as the EU looks to stop the drug companies Exporting such to third countries!

Will mix’n match be trialled?

Will you require constant yearly top ups as the virus mutates in future -like the flu?

Doesn’t seem to me that this situation is going to end for years.......Unless something dramatic changes.

I’ve been in touch with Dave and he’s well.

Fellas,
I think he’d really appreciate a PM or two from his Maserati mates at this time- if you know what I mean. ;)
What a Great idea Wattie.
I know during the last year a few of us have benefitted from messages and calls with each other.
It's really appreciated for ones mental health and we'll bring.
Certainly one of the Best assets of the forum is the brotherhood.

I see that the vaccine data from Israel may have been jumped on too soon:

Israel announced on Monday night that fewer than one per cent of a group of fully vaccinated patients have developed Covid, in the strongest indication yet that the jabs are highly effective.

A study by Maccabi, an Israeli healthcare provider, found that only 20 of around 128,000 people had caught the disease when tested around a week after receiving their second dose.

Love a bit of good news in the morning.

BBC lunchtime news covered the fact that the EU may be looking to somehow control the export of vaccine and manufacturers will have report the fact they are exporting.
A bit or a worry for those relying on it (if they do end up restricting its export) but understandable given they have messed U.K. their ordering process.

Little bit of Brexit there, Sam.

Have you seen how little the Frogs, Ities and Gerries are getting of the vaccine. We seem to have collared most of the Belgian stuff. now they are really p1ssed off and are going to put tariffs on it.

Not sure about the tariffs (but I only skimmed the news earlier) but as I understand it's do with exporting outside the EU. Fair enough. I'm sure the UK would be a bit miffed if 'we' made vaccines here and then sold 'em all abroad if they were needed in the home market.

PS - surely 'French, 'Italians' and 'Germans'..?

Well I got a call this afternoon to say that my brother who is 62yrs old and has had COVID for the past week had felt disoriented and had problems with his oxygen levels - recordings during an hours monitoring were on at around 93%.
Paramedics came out to him and measured oxygen at 93% but after some breathing exercises it was back up to 97%.
He has to continue the exercises every hour and call again if they fall.
So I am a little worried for him.
On a positive note, his £14.99 oxygen monitor seemed to give accurate readings.
