After yesterday's daily death rate, today's too horrific to publish?

Is than not partly the time of year as well , people are catching covid and dying instead of the flu and dying

I had the flu jab for the first time a couple of months ago , when they did it they said it'd be fully active by the start of the flu season in December

The government tried to stop it spreading by banning Christmas Dinner but if they just had granny and grandad round this is the price of it.

I thought I was going mad, not in the news and not on the web - it’s odd because they will publish it eventually.

Had the results of my chest X-ray following my bout of covid. I have a small area of 'atelectasis' which she isn't overly worried about, but has suggested I increase my physical activity to get my lungs working fully, and yes I had to google it as well!

Blimey, that sounds a little worrying but fingers crossed you can get back to full fitness. My neighbour has what they refer to as long COVID and is still breathless and unable to walk more than a few hundred yards without resting (she is in her mid 50’s). I count my blessings that I seem to have come though it with no lasting effects.
Take care

After I had Covid I struggled with my breathing for quite a while, until I was recommended by a cycling coach to take these tablets.

I was skeptical, but thought it worth a punt. After about 10 days my breathing was back to normal.
You can get them on Amazon.
Apparently they’re used by cystic fibrosis sufferers to help them breath easier.

One word of warning though. They make your farts smell horrific!

Blimey, if they could make my farts smell worse a major incident would have to be declared :worried1::lol2:

Has it been confirmed that you had it then? I thought you only suspected before?

Figs less than yesterday, but as the weekends data is all to pot the weekly average is the one to look at,

I’m 100% certain I’ve had it.
And 3 different medical professionals have said they’re 99% sure I had it.

The problem is, when I got it there were no tests, unless you were in intensive care. Or (to quote my GP) had been to China.

But with loss of taste, smell, the continuous cough and breathing difficulties, along with the headaches and muscle pain I think I ticked most of the boxes.

And symptoms of Long Covid if I didn’t have it, I dread to think what I did have!

My physio/pilates instructor has told us to practice breathing really deeply to get our lungs working fully - most of the time many of us take shallow breaths. Taking in great lung fulls of chilly air is also a bit painful - early season outdoor track racing we would always swallow some glycerol/glycerine (I think it was) to protect our lungs from the cold.

You'd know if it got anywhere near your lungs

Probably helped the back of your throat though, much like cough medicine.

Breathing can well benefit from training. Just doing physical activity (as in cardio) may not help a great deal in terms of getting them working 'fully', which I take to mean higher volume fill. Mediation, singing training or properly guided PT can help hugely. Yoga as well. Tai Chi etc etc

My Father in Law practices Pranayama and recommends it highly. He’s a retired Brigadier in the Army and has been to Everest base camp and has been involved in High Altitude Warfare most of his career.

Maybe i’m Mistaken Koz but most of the “High Altitude Warfare” for the last 100 odd years Is undertaken by the RAF? I would have signed up for that Army division.;)

Regardless, Pranayama was one of my favourite programmes on The BBC for years.
Respect.
