So now I am confused, my original self isolation ended on the 28th and as long as I had 2 days fever free, (Which I have been for 5 days) I was allowed to go back to work. I decide on my own volition to get another test, which has come back positive, so now it is telling me to isolate for 10 days again. How can they just let people back out into society without any check? after all, if I hadn't decided to get another test no one would be any the wiser, or is it the case that I am not contagious anymore? how long am I likely to be carrying the virus?

no rhyme or rhythm in anything the government has been doing imo, it's all lip service

A positive test really really doesn't mean you've got it or are contagious. Frankly you might be carrying enough to trigger a PCR for weeks if not months. Wasn't it Dave you kept testing positive for three weeks?

I was -ve on my 2nd test, my boss has had 3 +ve tests and now the company has revised the rules, no longer need a -ve test, just need to confirm symptom free (high temp) for 48 hours - you can have a cough for months, if you remember back in March, the 3 students in Italy reyurned +ve tests for 61 days, the government advice is not to re-test within a 90 day window unless you have specific covid symptoms again.

What if you wished to travel to Spain for example, a -ve result within 72 hours prior to travel is required for entry. That means you could already have had Covid, recovered, and still test +ve. So really you would need to get a -ve result before even purchasing your tickets.

I don’t think it’s the last we’ll hear of Mr & Mrs. Green. With his crooked track record and the amount of job losses an investigation must be forthcoming I would of thought.
Ed Miliband has in the commons today suggested that Green and his wife sort the £350 million deficit in the DB pension fund

Indeed, which is why I haven’t booked a holiday until mid April....

It is what it is although the rules change 'dynamicaly'. Booking fully flexible tickets, getting specific travel insurance etc.
I've still got a Covid test on hold until my travel plans firm up. For entry to EG need -ve test within 48 hours for entry.
However test result is logically dated on day of test, result takes 24 to 48 hours and travel another 36 hours so technically impossible to avoid their government provided quarantine other than not going at all :-/

Where is the EG, please pardon my ignorance, also don’t think any travel insurance is valid if UK advise against travel to that country or particular region.

I’ll guess at Equatorial Guinea.
Out flights have flexible booking, cancelling, amendment and the villa we have booked won’t request the remaining fee until a week before we go. Which is still reimbursed if we have to cancel.

What do you mean a different planet, what do you base that on, have you got any facts to substantiate that, there are a lot on here who are fact checkers, not me, but be careful. They do exist. Personally I would prefer not to be on a different planet, imagine the travel insurance.
