Doodlebug,
Good for you that you have the ability to work on something that might make this virus go away a little bit sooner, Well done and thank you.
Don't let Wattie get under your skin, silly little man with small man syndrome. Very few like him on here (if any).
It’s getting like Facebook on here. I thought we were all supposed to be a bit more intelligent than this. Disappointing.

Sorry but speaking of other members like this is not what this Forum is about for me.
What was Great about it for me is that we are from all different backgrounds and collectively together we have a wealth of experience making for Great friendships.

Phil, I agree, but this guy is clearly on a wind up. He has antagonised so many people on here and after a while people get fed up. You only have to look back through this and other threads to see that. I have a great rapport with everybody on here except him. I was not involved with this current spat but after he belittled what a clearly very intelligent member was doing for a job, I had to speak up. I will say no more on the subject.

Everybody is getting wound up , the internet is full of normal people doing things they never normally would , confronting other people over mask wearing , fights breaking out , arguing over going out or travelling even when the law says you can, people in wales not really understanding what’s going on , why they can’t buy clothes from a shop that’s open and they’re already in it.

The Trafford centre in Manchester was very busy but I didn’t see a single person not wearing a mask , a stage 3 lockdown is utter ******** , Manchester looks the same as ever , whatever the answer is tiered lockdowns isn’t it, too much is open and accessible

All I hear from the press is how many cases , it's irrelevant unless people are dying , you don't shut the world down because people got ill and then got better again.
You are correct, today cases in France are more than double those in the UK. But the death rate in the UK today is much higher than in France.

Recorded deaths here in France go quiet on a weekend so I'm expecting a big number probably on Tuesday.

CV19 mentioned on the death certificate has always been a problem for me , if they had an illness and CV19 finished them off then they died of CV19

If they were in a car crash but tested positive why is it in the statistics because it had nothing to do with their deaths.

3.2% of all deaths involved CV19 in week 40 which means 96.8% didn't

The mess the country is in it's making me wonder if somebody in the government has those figures transposed

Until everyone puts their handbags down, I think I will give this thread a miss.
Pity given the original subject of discussion remains the biggest threat to many people’s lives and livelihoods.

I actually find this quite funny. I'll tread carefully but certain members of the forum push and push and push. Sometimes they are 'protected' because they are 'inner circle'. Sometimes even they overstep the mark and action is taken. There does seem to be an imbalance here, though, and when some of the less vocal members chose to say 'enough' there is some kind of judgement that they should rein it in.

Well, no. Some of the views expressed (not just in this thread) have been horrific. Racist, alarmist and downright offensive. Members should be allowed to call this out.

I'm going to step back out. For right or wrong.

Why are weekend deaths lower than during the working week?
Is it just no one is working to record them and they catch up on Monday and Tuesday?
Genuine Q and also trying to re establish the thread:saifi1:

Yes

A few weeks ago when there was a marked increase in numbers on a Tuesday I read they were higher after a bank holiday because nobody is processing the figures so weekends will be the same.
