Been lost in work for the last 2 days...Can't understand why people still move about as normal... and as for the number of sodding cyclists!!!

Did a half day yesterday (first time off in 16 days... spent it delivering food to OAPs after visiting every supermarket between work and home.... so lovely to see the relief on their faces even at 3 meters.

Oh I know, I'd never try it risk is too great but I think I know enough to get away with it if I had root/padmin perms (DVLA use(d) AIX) by nefarious means. No to change anything, but certainly to copy VG's off...

Yeah some things are probably doable. Typically there are layers and layers, though ;)

What I would like to see is normal monthly death totals for oct /nov/dec/jan/feb/mar/ 2017 2018 and 2019 that way at least one could see a comparrison of corona assisted deaths against a normal winter death toll ,
The figures you are looking for are easily obtained from the ONS website (google monthly registered deaths Uk) one fact you will find is that YTD there have been 10,000 fewer deaths this year than in 2018, current deaths are sad, but by no means out of the ordinary. Next month might well be a different story!

Few numbers of interest for the London death rate.
In London in the coming months to take the rate ahead of the record peaks seen in early 2018. In simple terms a 50% increase in deaths would see monthly death rate levels for the next 6 months in line with the Jan 2018 peak. This would equate to a total of around 5,700 deaths per month (versus norm or c. 3,800)

If I had a million pounds for every time I've been asked that question, I'd not have to work for a couple of years. Now I'm gonna go for an absolute certainty that you have an excellent rating, but that part of the business is SO secure. There are two places I have been which were more secure (and that's a bit odd given that I've never been allowed into the high security section of Experian)

One is the Serasa Experian data centre which holds all of the social / government data for Brazil. Only a limited number of people at a time since you'll run out of O2. There's only passive cooling to stop anyone pouring something corrosive into the A/C. Full biometrics and a registered user has to confirm it's clear before they leave (via the airlock)
The other place was one a SCIF for a company I won't reveal:

It okay, Trump says it will be over by Easter.
Unless he really meant all over by Easter...
The amount of people he meets daily he'll probably be over by easter , one problem with fame in a pandemic is you meet a lot of people every day

OK here you go. This is total weekly deaths in England over the past few years (with the end of 2019 and start of 2020 estimated, based on an average of the previous few years). Overlaying (not adding) the UK CV19 deaths (tiny red bars in spring 2020) makes it look totally trivial (from a public health perspective, although acknowledging individual heartbreaks, of course). BUT, if instead you overlay (not add) the Italy CV19 deaths, then you see why it starts to look serious. But even at that rate it still not the end of the world, unless it gets much worse than that.
