Are there any Maserati Specialists still operating at the moment

The alarm on my Gran Cabrio keeps going off randomly and I need to get it looked at. I'm not 100% sure it comes under the umbrella of "essential", but I suspect my neighbours might think it does. I'm in South Bucks, but prepared to travel to some degree.

Hi. With the GS a long hold of the fob as you lock it will disable the alarm. Is that a feasible workaround for you?

I know Emblem are open and working on cars but asking for people not to visit, so might be worth phoning them to see if they can help.
Otherwise Dale, Prestige Auto (sorry, search here and his details will come up) is a mobile service. Not sure of his status at the moment, and I'm sure Matt / Ashley (Sports Italia) will have some advice.

Where are you in South Bucks? I'm Chesham.

Otherwise find where the siren is located and unhook the leads. I actually removed the siren completely for a while in my GranSport as it was going off a random times too. In the Gransport it is in the boot behind the boot liner behind the left hand side rear wheel.
Later on at a service visit, they found a faulty sensor and I believe cleared some codes.

I'm in Prestwood.

I was getting a door open warning for the passenger door when driving, so I'm fairly sure it's a sensor for that door that's playing up.

I've pressed the button in the roof, and also just locked the car with the key - I'll wait and see what happens.

It's somewhat annoying when the alarm does go off, because pressing the unlock button on the key fob does NOT stop the alarm from sounding.

The motion sensor works within reason! Last week I pressed it when parked on Stena line. 8 hours later, returned to car to find ‘break in attempt’ message on dash. There is a separate button i think for towing which is what the car might have thought was happening.

My car alarm went off yesterday. It detected the satnav detaching from the windscreen and falling to the floor

SportsItalia are still open 7 days a week and working through the backlog of cars. Here if you need us.

We will be closed when they physically come round and drag us out!

Hi Conaero - I am keen to get my variators fixed (we spoke 4w ago) but I was worried about a lockdown coming. I guess Maserati has shut shop on being able to return parts?

We have a great transport guy who is picking up and dropping cars down. TBF we are not being irresponsible here and not having clients on site.

It’s me and Ashley Mon-Fri and Ryan in Sat-Sun.

All cars are being anti bact down upon delivery and pre return and the delivery driver does this again.

We are also advising that clients do not touch the car for 10 days upon return.

There is nobody on our unit site and gloves are worn at all times, we only use our own tools and Ash works in the right unit and me in the left unit.

Parts are not an issue at the moment. We can take your car first week in May.

Where in the UK are you? We can save money by collecting on the return leg of a delivery.

In our opinion, there is 10 days left of the current lockdown and are of the opinion that it will be extended a further 3 weeks to the beginning of May then things will start relaxing with a view to normality returning.

Lockdown announcement/review looks likely to come on Friday in daily briefing as to what happens on Monday 13th April. Two week extension looking to be the case but I guess that all depends on how/if the curve flattens and the confirmed cases and deaths are reduced.

Indeed, that’s what the experts recon and what is happening in other countries. Let’s hope so.

Great to hear you are still open, no reason to close if you can manage the social distancing.
nit like the to$$er that has got my daughters mini, had it collected with lots of promises, locked down the two days later.
It took a call from me and a reminder she is a nurse for him to get back on it, although he is still not very communicative.
Keep up the good work
