Talked about this one on another thread a week or so ago....Mileage was low as I think someone phones them about it. It's the owners car I believe.

Very tricky to value and how much depreciation would you suffer over a couple of years?

Great colour combo though and love the wheels.

it still must be 2007 though, didnt they stop making it in 2007? so the car must have been unregistered for 2 years, is that a good thing? its better to buy a 2007 thats been used everyday

Wonder why they had to replace the wheels under warranty? Need to know mileage though!

It the car was sat around for 2 years the wheels could have corroded..The GS wheels don't tent to weather well as I understand it. Do a search and I'm sure the mileage was mentioned an another thread...

Gansport one is much newer so you could expect the higher price and it is still under manufacturers warranty

Personaly I don't think it's worth it....Better off buying an MC Victory than a standard GS at that money..09 or not.

As mentioned a while back , on the other side, I was led to believe, from the main dealer in the new forest area , that last Gransport built was in sept 2007,and was sold by them to a customer in Dorset , I saw this car in their showroom and it was yellow.

For anyone still interested (less than 3 years since first reg) Maserati have repriced their warranty extensions. So instead of an outlandish £2,400 per year you can now extend for as little (!) as £1,100 per year.

Barbuckle if they have just changed this Im really angry. I had my last warranty service in March and declined the extra warranty at £2,200 per annum.........at a £1000 I would have reconsidered

Well this was discussed last week with dealer - I had suggested they could "make a contribution" to a two year extension in light of the new gearbox being fitted. The story was - not really, but "Maserati have just repriced their warranties".
So I am told by official sources that this has happened. Perhaps too few were sold at the original price mark - I am arranging a 2 year extension at this new rate.
You have to apply within 30 days after the 3 year mark - if you just missed this I would re-approach.

(by the way the original pricing I was told was £2400 for 12 months or £3600 for 24 months)

Bloody **** thats **** of a drop. The average cost of a warrenty claim must be aoround £1500 so it sounds like a good price.

I am wondering if this suggests that the cars are getting "more reliable"?
E.g. lots of automatic models now and fewer early cambio corsa models - hence warranty price reflects current maintenance risk?

Think the timing is crucial and deliberate on Maserati's part , most Gs now out of the 3yr limit , i reckon its really aimed at the early GT Turismo and later

Thats what they quoted me........I can only pray that I won't need the warranty. I have done total of 11,000 miles and am really doing no more than 2 or 3,000 per annum
