Anyone know this QP?

Indeed, big problem.
I did look at a Grigio nuvolari QP with yellow calipers and it looked great. Just more mileage although cheaper but lots of body work repairs and touch ups so I walked without asking for keys...

The only QP I think I would pay over 20k for these days is a GTS ..... I keep an eye on the classifieds daily and it seems no one wants a QP these days apart from us on here. If you buy one think it would need to be a keeper unless you want to give it away when you sell and even then it could take a while to sell.....Think it's just the way it is with V8 cars these days...Sad as these are great cars.......Love the yellow calliper by the way..

Sad thing is I love these QP's and was in the market for one recently. Yet even I didn't buy one as found a better car with much better VFM in the XJL SuperSport.

If the same year/mileage QP 4.7 GTS would have been the same price it would then have been a much tougher decision. However the QP was about 10k more. It didn't make sense.

The QP is a great car. Problem is the XJL SS is better IMHO. It has over 100bhp more power, delivers it better in the real world, sounds good, it rides better, brakes are better, is more comfortable, more modern, more reliable, cheaper to run, more mpg, possibly less common. This was my problem.

However all that been said if the two were sitting there at the same price I am sure I would have gone QP! I just couldn't justify paying more for one.

I actually seen a XJL SS and thought it looked very nice and Government outrider ish. I also thought it might have been onpar with a QP for rarity. Very nice indeed! However, I would like to do wedding runs with my next QP which is what I done with the last. While the XJL SS could do this very well, I think it doesnt deliver the same excitement or niche but would serve as an excellent bridesmaid vehichle.

Thought provoking

Maybe....a lot bigger in the back though!

Maybe in white it would do the trick. A previous owner put sport back boxes on the XJL and it sounds pretty good too. Weird that as I understand it has the same 6 speed ZF box as QP but seems tuned differently and quicker to change gears. Rides much better in the back as QP rear always seems often unsettled IMHO.

Yea the GT S rides harder with the lower stance and coil springs. I do like the XJL though and looks epic in white.

The XJL in white seems to give the illusion of being even more massive! Never actually driven a QP GTS only the QP Skyhook cars. Would be interesting to see the difference. I am sure the GTS would be much more composed the the skyhook.

one of the chaps at one of the sites I work at has a SS with MAHOOSIVE carbon wheels and colossal brakes, I think it looks the nuts... people think the QP is a little classier and a bit more special.
The Jag is a lot newer and Id expect to be quite outclassed in it, but I tend to agree, as much as I like the Jag, Id rather have a similarly priced Mazzer...

At the end of the day, like the AMG Mercs, M Class BMWs, no matter how rare or awesome they are. they are 'just another xxxx' whereas the Maserati is a Maserati.

Noticed the speedo doesn't have the Km/hr marks - not sure if it matters, but all the Masers I saw in UK and in Ireland had them, only US ones didn't.

Mine hasn't. Pain when over the water so I have to change the digital speed to km.

Interesting, I do the same with the speed on the wee panel, both in UK and Ireland, but I have the km marks on the speedo. But due to my 6' 4" frame, massively long legs etc and the steering wheel not having and suitable position for me I cant even see the top half of the speedo proper....
